I love Jay but as soon as I saw that Complex bracket where it won the best Jay feature verse of ALL TIME I knew it was overrated. That right there makes it overrated. No way it's the best Jay guest verse ever, that's crazy.

Yea at this point the goal of the media is to keep jay at the goat in everyone’s mind. Keep pushing that narrative. Nas has ruined those plans.

Listened to that ebro apple music interview. They was trying to make the hov line into something competitive, instigating a little. Legit the word that comes after the bars are done is 'laughing'.
Nas didn't mean it that serious, and I know they're friends, but I'll live the rest of my life still believing there's some friendly competition there. No way there isn't. They're the 2 giants of the game that are still around since the golden era. There's literally zero chance that Jay doesn't feel some type of competitive hunger with everything Nas has done these past few years. IMHO Nas might not feel as competitive, because he's clearly in the lead at this point. But Jay has always been a competitor. Always withe the sports bars. Boxing. Basketball. Used to battle a lot. Has said all the time in interviews that he views emceeing as a contest. And he started the Nas battle to begin with.

I truly feel like Jay would drop an album if he felt like he had something to say right now. I just don't think there's a lot he has to say, unless he's working on an album in secret that we don't know about. I've followed how Jay makes albums since the late 90's Jay has to be inspired, or it doesn't work. Jay just can't go and force an album, and often what inspires him is life shyt. I truly feel like he said a lot of what he has to say right now on God Did.

I think Jay knows he can't just force an album that will resonate with people, and doesn't want to drop a dud. But I also think if he thought he could drop an album next month that would resonate with everyone that he'd do it.

Crazy thing too is I think Nas could basically keep going forever at this point. I don't see him slowing down anytime soon.

Hell Jay’s verse on Black Republican is WAYYYYYYYY better than God Did
I actually think it's too long. It's one thing to black out on a feature verse for like 40 bars or something, but once it starts getting above that I think it's too much. Cap on Winter Warz is about the longest feature verse that I like. And even that one is shorter than Jay's verse on God Did.

There's mad guest verses I'll take of Jay over God Did (even though it's got its high points)
