:comeon: Most of Nasir has higher streaming #'s than classic shyt like LT1. I'm not sure you are being serious right now:dahell: .Not for Radio Cops Shot the Kid have higher #' than fukking Take it in Blood & I Gave you Power:dead:. Don't tell me Kayne name don't influence #'s anything he attached to his cult going to run to. Those HB beats I named>>>>>>>>>>>>> Adam & Eve
None of these beats are better you listed literally none of them … lol but ok
Kanye maybe had maybe a little influence …

My point I’m trying to make is classic/dope music people come back to

It ain’t hard to tell has more streams than all Hit/Nas albums combined. Me and you know large professor but these kids do not …

I’m just saying that the hot shyt is what people are always going to return to.

Number 1. Kanye stole that beat. Number 2. Lay off the crack. Stick to console wars my guy.
It’s still better than anything hit has ever made for Nas

You brothers are letting your love for Nas leak into some weird worship for HitBoy. If hit boy made Adam and Eve y’all would be saying it’s one of the greatest beats you ever heard.

He’s just ok.

I think Hitboy is an ok producer, If i had to rate him I'd give him like a 7.5.

To me his greatest talent is he got Nas sounding like Nas again... I guess that counts the most. I'm not seeing this genius level producer here. I guess he's consistent ?

There's something about his beats, it just lacks something to me... I hear corny arrangements and odd sound choices on some songs...and the mixing, his beats are mixed to be the forefront rather than Nas.

Like I'm thinking back over all 4 of these releases, was there one classic beat ? Maybe Store Run... Maybe Moments ? To me HitBoy is holding these albums back, they're good releases that could be great-classic releases

I wish Kanye wasn't a dumbass and didn't rush the Gawd, took his time like he did with Push, even then.. As far as beats go ? I like Adam and Eve over anything on all 4 of these albums.
This is exactly how I feel but some of the fanboys can't see it :yeshrug: .....and I think Nas is the GOAT. But hitboys beats just sound cheap.....he's a very average sample flipper and his drums are weak. And it's not like his beats are bad. They're just incredibly mid.

Get Nas in the lab with Madlib. Alchemist. Sounwave. Thundercat. 9th. Statik. Robert glasper. And just watch the type of magic they come up with.

nikka it’s not that cats don’t see how y’all feel it’s just that it’s how YALL feel. No one cares and how y’all feel ain’t the end all be all. If HitBoy made that Adam and Eve beat y’all would be shytting on it too. The beat to Speechless >>>>>> Adam and Eve. If I remember correctly @ItWasWritten was dikkriding DONDA. And that shyt was dirt.

My least favorite song was recession proof. Was in the whip and caught myself bopping my head hard as hell realizing it was to recession proof. Now this song is my personal favorite in the whip.

Sounds like something off The Low End Theory, like "Rap Promoter." :wow:

You talking about production sounding cheap then mentioning 9th makes me feel you have no ears.

Just finished.

Only song I wasn't feeling was "Til My Last Breath" because of the beat. Couple other songs I didn't like the hooks, but that's honestly nitpicking.

The first time I really took notice of Nas was "It Ain't Hard To Tell". I heard "Live At The BBQ" and "Back To The Grill" off Serch's album, but "It Ain't Hard To Tell" was what put him on the map for me.

Anyway, I was just thinking about all this listening to the album, then "First Time" came on which is the subject of the song.

I was 15 in 1991, now I'm 45 and Nas has been rapping my whole life. If you would've told me that back in 1991....I wasn't even sure rap would be around this long. Let alone a specific rapper, let alone doing it at this level, 30+ years later.

It's just mind boggling when you really sit and analyze it. The funny thing about history is, nobody knows it when they're living it.

Fred.
