Incredible album. Probably the straight up smoothest album Nasir ever made.

when nas said 'don't be scared now' on 'I'm on Fire', it gave me flashbacks on some young buck 'Shorty Wanna Ride Wit Me', specifically the scene where they were in the basement exposing government secrets, the shyt that conspiracy nas be on




the sample flip of mary j's 'you remind me' reminded me of how j cole and charles hamilton flipped the sample to K.P. & Envyi's 'Swing My Way'



the drill flip at the end of 'reminisce' could be the start of a remix

is it me or is the beat of 'don't shoot' overwhelming and you can barely hear nas sometimes on the beat?...people always criticized the mixing quality of KD1-2
