Now thinking about that video he said some shyt like "Outside of doorags& Blaze a 50 what does LT have that can compete with KD2"?. I damn near cut the vid off at that point l legit had the
raw

Purple My Way Nothing lasts forever U gotta love it No Ideas Original Poppa was a player Fetus Drunk by Myself Black Zombie da fukk is this nikka talking about:wtf::camby:

For real? Can't remember that part, but let's be clear, however dope KD2 is, there isn't one track on there that could fukk with any song on LT1 besides maybe Everybody's Crazy, which is the only non five mic song in there to me.

Anybody saying anything like that is invalidated in my eyes. U def Dont compare albums in that way and honestly. No matter how u compare. LT1 is just better in every facet.

The problem with comparing albums that way is it ignores what the artist was trying to accomplish, the impact of the album, the climate when the album was released, etc. Like for example an album like Untitled is a lot more ambitious when you understand where the game was in 2008.

I disagree with the bolded though. LT1 is a masterpiece (to me it's better than Illmatic) but overall it's pretty somber. Nothing wrong with that, but KD2 definitely hits some notes that LT1 isn't trying to, and vice versa.

He's probably looking at it from a banger/songs for the whip. LT1 is the kind of album you listen to by yourself while enjoying the lyrics and concepts.

exactly...both are great but for totally different reasons. I don't know why people can't seem to grasp this when comparing albums.

Honestly IDC where I'm listening LT1 is superior in every facet. Comparing KD2 to LT1 is straight blasphemy
I’m not talking about what notes it’s trying to hit. I’m talking about the quality of songs, concepts, beats and rhymes. All better on LT1. Somber or not.
Nothing else needs to said

You're right but alot of these critiques are one sided in that they don't factor in the song in its totality: If LT1 was an instrumental album vs KD2 as one, many people who are into "bangers" would take KD2 w/o thinking twice (I have no problem with the beats on LT1 but I know how these type of critics are thinking). The greatness of LT1 is how the beats mesh with Nas' lyrics and concepts to make completely great songs.

I don’t know what u listening to on KD1 to feel like it’s easily better than LIG. Lol. Honestly. And I love KD1. But there’s tracks on LIG that are better than every track on KD1.
These are the strongest tracks on LIG..
No Introduction
Loco Motive
Queens Story
Daughters
Reach Out
You Wouldn't Understand
Back When
Stay
Cherry Wine
Nasty
Black Bond
Roses
Where’s The Love
Trust

Album is pure dopeness, no question...but I see people saying it's a classic and a masterpiece and all that...it's not, to me. I just think the music is superior on KD1, lyrically LIG is better though.

Same. My homeboy out in DC trying to get us to come out but doesn't seem like a good idea.

Imma try to hit it up :wow: It’s gonna be at The Anthem near The Wharf, really dope neighborhood and it’s plenty of nightlife activity around there nowadays too, so y’all could get into something once the concert let’s out around midnight. My birthday is on the 26th next month so I want my GOAT to be my early bday present :blessed:
