I’m not really seeing what y’all see in Count Me In. I mean it’s ok but it ain’t really touching the rest of the tracks it surround by. It certainly ain’t giving me IWW vibes. I will give it a few more goes but I’m leaning towards cutting it from the playlist
Nikkas are saying their is a lil synthesizer sound in the background that sounds like Watch Dem Nikkas that’s why

Buggin. Count Me In is a straight heat. One of the main tracks that nikkas was hitting me up in real life about on the album.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned already but going thru the credits, I discovered Quentin Miller is credited on The Pressure. I wonder for what? :ohhh:

Don Toliver did background vocals on it. Didn’t know that was him. :ehh:
Hitboy prolly flipped something in the beat from a song Quentin Miller did or that he did for Quentin Miller. Similar to what he did for No Phony Love for SWV’s producer. And how he has Lil Baby’s voice on 40 Side. Also Quentin’s group WDNG Crshrs is heavily associated with Hit Boy.

Count Me in is just a vibe man. Lyrically it ain't all that but the instrumental - especially the baseline -is just smooth and pleasing to the ear.

Tho I do agree comparing it to IWW besides that one noise on Watch Dem nikkas is a bit of a stretch... I think it reminds me more of Everybody's Crazy

Both these dudes very passionate about music, they started discussing the album very deeply, discussing notes taken during their listening etc.. And then it went off to a Nas vs Jay thing, comparing their discogs, and after that trying to see where KD2 belongs in Nas' discog

Very entertaining to watch even if you don't agree with what's being said.. 2hrs long, i ain't even finished it yet

I've been watching some reaction vids to "Rare" and youngins lose their minds at Nas' flow and all the beat switch ups...they're like "I didn't know Nas could spit like this:damn::ohhh:"

Watching what Nas has been doing this past year has been like watching a Hall of Fame athlete who people thought was nearing retirement suddenly have an MVP caliber season on their way to a championship…

…all while debunking long-running narratives and checking boxes (“what’s up with Nas’s beat selection? why doesn’t Nas have any Grammy’s? whatever happened to The Firm?”, etc.)…simply amazing to see.
Gods'son rewritting his epilogue:myman:

...Firm reunion & L-Boogie re-emergence; imagine Verbal Intercouse 2 for KD3:wow:

I been telling my wife how dope this album was since it dropped lol. To the point I know she's tired of hearing about it. Hadn't had the chance to play it for her yet though. I threw a few joints from KD2 on a playlist yesterday (Nobody, No Phony Love, Composure). Chilling, listening to it in the house. Every song got the same reaction.

the beat starts: :leon: what's this?

nas verse starts: :whoo: oh, this is that KD2?

song ends: :ohlawd: this is fire!
