It really does feel like an instant classic.

He got Lauryn hill to come outside yall! LAURYN FUKKIN HILL!!!

I'm on the 4th or 5th listen, but everyone came through on his features. Em killed it too (His shyt got a little lost because of Lauryn), A Boogie and YG came through.......I'm high at the house right now and I just realized if he combined the best from KD 1 and 2 we're talking about historically top 5 album.

Imagine this album:
1. King's Disease
2. Blue Benz
3. Car #85
4. Store Run
5. Moments
6. No Phony Love
7. 27 Summers
8. Ultra Black
9. Until the War is Won
10. Full Circle
11. Nobody
12. Nas is Good
13. The Cure

......I finished this and realized I can make this a playlist on Tidal and that's the version of KD I'm listening to forever now.

I’m still puzzled as to why YKTV made the album

like, nobody did a bad job necessarily but it doesn’t fit the album whatsoever :mjtf:

Nas is always gonna try to have something for the streets or something that people outside of just his fanbase can appreciate. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. But I personally think Spicy and YKTV are the best possible versions of those type of songs he could make. Those joints are banging.

Nas has a concert at this new symphony hall shell venue on the waterfront in San Diego next week, I have seen him twice, but probably want to go check this out. Performing Illmatic with and orchestra, and then probably his normal set.

I haven't taken the time to listen to the new album, but I got tickets to the concert, and should be seeing Nas plus Symphony on Tuesday. Third time seeing Nas in concert.

I never subscribed to the "Nas is critiqued unfairly" logic...I thought that was just a cop out by his stans to try and defend some of his weaker albums...but that shyt is definitely true.

Nas can make a musical masterpiece, like KD2, and all some of these 45+ rusty hip hop heads will care about is that it doesn't sound like the rhymes were written in a project hallway and Hitboy's beats are too "good" basically, lol, too musical and layered. I respect Nas for not giving a fukk about placating them couple of people and just continuing to focus on the music quality only...it doesn't matter if you can't imagine Rakim or Buckshot rhyming on this production, lol, Nas is a much bigger, more worldly artist than them.

I think the 3 or 4 old head bad reviews I've seen in here are all based on how Nas flowed on "40 Side" and that beat...lowkey that's all it is that turned them off, imo, cause I don't see how anyone can deny how great this music is, that's the only real understandable complaint...because it turned me off the 1st time. After that tho, that was one of my fav records. "Rare" turned me off the very first time too, the way he was rapping...it wasn't until the beat switched that I got into it, initially. Now that's one of my favs too, lol.
