The only misogynist line on the album to me was the estrogen line in the intro. There are moments on the album when I can imagine a woman rolling her eyes but that’s expected when men rap/sing about lost love. Someone gonna get annoyed, it’s understandable. Especially since Nas rarely discusses his own faults in a relationship. I’d understand a women being like “nah” lol.
Friend of mine said she didn’t like the album because Nas said the common link of strong men like Malcolm X was that their women were silent. I pointed out he said “solid” not silent and she was like ok I get it now. People are looking for reasons to hate...due to Kelis.

I work with an Asian dude who is a huge Nas stan; in fact he was the one who DM'd me about the album announcement while we were in a zoom meeting. We've been talking about the album here or there during zoom down times, and this chick we work with was like "I like Nas but he lost me with that album when he said women with great men should be silent." Like I said, I corrected her and she was like ok. Her favorite song on the album is Replace Me btw lol.
