Not enough mumbling for you huh?Love both artists
But them shyts hard to listen to
They both dookie juice
I would listen to neither in my free time and change them if they came on whatever playing
Nas was lyrical miracle on that shyt.gtfoh wit this shyt
So pac got my nod
Okay then I vote stray bullet.
Anyway Me and My Girlfriend is the better overall song.
I gave you power is an awesome record and is more lyrically dense but Me And My Girlfriend is the better overall song, easily.
From the beat and instrumentation, the hook on top of the lyrics as well, it's a much more complete experience.
Stop it.....Stray Bullet didnt Inspire Pac...Nas' song did.
Had it not been for Nas there would be no Me And My Girlfriend and Makeveli would only be 11 tracks. Thats why Nas gets the edge because he's the reason for both songs existing.
How about you stop trying to argue a point that I didn't make, some shyt you forever try with me for some reason.
Someone said the song that precedes the other wins, I said if the poll was about that I'd vote Stray Bullet. BUT, the first thing the OP said is which is the better overall song. When I think of determining what the criteria is for which is a better overall song, which came first doesn't really move the needle. What does is song composition, replay value both of which give Pac's song the edge in my humble opinion.
I gave you power is a song from the perspective of a gun. Who does that?. It's in its own league. I Don't think there is a better story told in music. I can't think of one.
Go back and read what u wrote in post #14. If what u saying now is true you wouldnt have quoted that guy to try to pile your opinion over his. He thought the strings were corny and chose Nas. That was his "humble opinion." But his criteria wasnt good enough for you and you chimed in about adding dimensions as if thats supposed to make him think you brought some grand revelation to him and that the strings in fact weren't corny. LOL. That was you arguing a point he didnt make.
The person that I was having that exchange with quoted and replied to me and my opinion, specifically on the elements of the song that I felt gave it the edge, his points were a direct rebuttal to mine, so I don't see how the bold really works.
I wasn't trying to bring a grand revlation, I was just fleshing out my initial commentary in the thread.
I swear Pac fans would even vote whatz ya Phone # over Nas is like
I gave you power was a lot better
