I'd be interested in hearing people's interpretations of famous lyrics just to see how much they differ. My theory is that most people take away completely different meanings from songs and then get into pointless arguments about whose lyrics are better without the discussing the actual content of the lyrics to see if they're even talking about the same thing.
Keep it up with the questions man, makes for interesting discussions.

EDIT: I think especially with Nas people will take away different things from the lyrics because he's known to keep things pretty vague or abstract a lot of the time.
Imagine an in depth discussion on the meaning of Ghostface's lyrics. If you'd ask people separately and compared the answers, I bet you would swear they were talking about different songs.
