People keep saying this but Nas don’t owe nobody nothing. If he collaborated with EVERYBODY who held him in high esteem then he’d never put out his own projects .
But for a young breh like Kodak he may feel like the best way to get a collabo out of Nas is to diss him.. I get if he feels a way he’s only ever showed love to Nas even asking him to be his mentor and the guy who disses him gets to make a track with him before he does.

Thats on Kodak though. If you are TRULY a fan of an artist then your a fan. PERIOD. They don’t owe you anything outside of the art. And if Kodak thinks dissing Nas is a way to get a feature or collab then he’d be even more of an idiot than 21 was.
Its the same thing when Danny Brown was crying and talking about Nas is his favorite artist and he wanted a collab but he was mad that Nas would rather work with Big Sean. Like nikka Nas prerogative is HIS prerogative. There’s Queensbridge rappers who to this DAY don’t have songs with Nas. It is what it is.

Yeah you correct Nas ain’t obliged to do anything, but would be nice to show a young artist who has been showing more appreiation to you than any of these new rappers and actually is more acclaimed with critics and sales than any of those recent rappers Nas has worked with some love, but who knows what goes behind the scenes.
Kodak don’t need Nas either, he’s doing fine without any collabo but I would like to see the love getting repicocrated to make some good music, 21 was talking out his ass and got a feature out of it even though that wasn’t the intention.

Jay showed Nas nothing but love for the first 3-5 years of his career and during that time STILL smashed the man’s baby mother and later on used the fact to say disgustingly insulting things about his infant child.
The line between love and hate is thin indeed. Just because somebody shows you love today doesn’t mean they won’t be complaining about you or betraying you tomorrow
