Nas legacy is pretty much ruined. And to keep it real, Prodigy (rip) has a better body of work than Nas have.
I remember when a Nas song or a Nas album used to be an event. The last shyt he dropped got a couple of listens and then was forgotten.
At this point Nas needs to go be an underling over at Griselda. They'll throw him some beats and make him somewhat listenable again.
Prodigy was light years more consistent than Nas.

I been saying it, the more I think about it, prodigy >>>>>> nas

C'mon son... Nas knows the lost tapes was like a 2000s Illmatic... He needs less yes men in his circle. He's got a good buisness team but the music side is hurtin.

You "nikkas", and i wonder if y'all are even black, have no appreciation for jazz and scat singing which is a black music staple back in the day.

Both of which take a great amount of skill. Nas used his voice as an instrument to run up and down the melody

Nas' father was a jazz musician. So he obviously has an appreciation for the art.

"Everybody's not gon get you but keep going..." first words of the song for y'all

This shyt is fire to me? I'm so confused at the response. A track like this in an album gives variety. This is much different than the normal Nas sound and is experimental and I love when he branches out more rather than the same kind of shyt.
Just because it's experimental doesn't mean that shyt is good. This is fukkin garbage, stop making excuses just cause you stan for Nas.

Here's an example of Nas switching shyt up, and it actually sounding good...

I'm scared to liten based on the responses. If Lot tapes 2 is truly bad im cool on Nas albums after, I don't want my GOAT to go out like :flabbynsick:

It's just one of those weird Nas experiment songs...i can't say it's good but whatever. It's just some playful jazzmatazz sounding shyt. Weird song to release as an album preview though.

This song makes me feel like he’s being chased nonstop by some cartoonish evil pee wee Herman type character and he can’t escape this dream. fukk this is terrible.
:dead: the visual is too much because for some reason all i could think of was cartoons soon as the beat came on

So if I call a non-rapper rap song wack, I have no appreciation for rap? :dahell:

See the Twista song above, nobody is calling that wack, they are calling the execution of Nas's song meh.
