Lyrically, this shyts all over Come Get Me, one of Nas’ laziest performances over a Preemo beat, but production wise, Come Get Me is better than this

Why nas never got a soul sample beat from triple six.
or even Lex luger anytike during the juicy j rrnaissance mixtape era boggles my mind. As they would have had the sample triggers and percussion to fit in now. Then nas could have used that example. As a rubRick.
for Amy modern producer from any region to give him sampoe based heat.

Instead by not doing that. It pigeon holed his sound.
over other sample work as sonically dated via landscape.
plus by never doing this. It created a level of disconnect. That no nyc producer can make.
to bridge the gap in sonic landscape moving forward.
after the south legit has Imprinted horror CORE style production into the standard lexicon of all music.

like if nas got a sample based juicy j, luger or dj Paul beat. That was sample based and sonically as powerful as Katy Perry features uicy j. I feel nas would not have this level of disconnect sonically.
when using ssmple based production moving forward.

other than that

excellent lyrical output by nas
that caveman communication meets the sewers of rome bars shyt is next level.

Breh the first verse of Come Get Me is classic shyt talking Nas shyt, come on. If you want to say the second verse isn't that lyrical fine. But that third verse is wild too lol.

I think it's really hard to get that NY feel with a sample on menacing type beats like Lex Luger. When I think about that horrorcore dark grimy aura you speak on I think a story telling track would be best for Nas, as I'm not sure about how he would ride those type of beats. Or something like this (timestamped)



I wish he would have leaned more into South stuff like this in the 2000s though: (timestamped)




Think he could have had some fresh collabs with Weezy during his heyday to help bridge the gap for that generation. ('Receipt' type) Had a nice fit on a posthumous Pimp C song produced by Juicy also:



I also thought he would have fit surprisingly well on "Stay High"

I would like to hear an example of a late 2000s beat you mean though, because I just find it very hard to grasp Nas riding the Juicy J type mixtape beats from that era you mean.
