I get what you're saying here but if you look at Nas's history he has always been a low-key guy even when he was at the peak of his career. He never did a lot of interviews or public appearances outside of performances. Using Nicki to get into the spotlight seems very unusual given the history of his behavior.

I know. But Foxy Brown is the same way. She's always been private and lowkey as well. But I think she uses her affiliation with Nicki Minaj to get herself talked about again.
Affliation is very big in that industry.

Nas could die today and has already cemented himself top 3 in hip hop ever and it's literally no debating that. Nikki was literally helping meek mill career, nas don't need that. Nas does more to lend credibility to nikki career to take her away from being this fake industry chick being pushed by a machine to someone people may view as a artist.

Kelis is actually kinda cute in person (saw her years ago in person at this gathering.) But let's be real, Kelis was known to have been tossed and passed around the industry and had supposedly been smashed by everyone from Pharrell to jay z when nas got with her. There were entire nude photos of Kelis floating around before she got with Nas.

I'm not saying Kelis was in fact a thot, just saying her reputation was much worst than what nikki is and nas still married her. Not to mention Kelis status as artist wasn't close to where nikki status is.
