Something is off. Nagato met Madara, who gave him those eyes. Except, in Nagato's flashback, he "awakens" them after his "parents" are killed by Konoha ninjas. Perhaps Nagato received those eyes without him knowing - then Madara uses Tobi to give Nagato instructions?

Nagato should be older. Yahiko, Konan and Nagato gets trained by a young Jiraya, so I guess that puts Nagato closer to the 4th's age, assuming he trains both within a few years' time.

Smh at madara being all :skip:, now i need to know what happened. How did he survive that ass whoopen the first put on him? Why did itachi meet a version of him with black hair? Why did he die again?

This is all assuming short haired masked madara was obito and longnhair masked madara is the real version

1. Nagato should be around 10 years older than Obito, maybe a little less.

2. There are all kinds of ways Madara could've given Nagato his eyes. Maybe he implanted them when Nagato was an infant but Nagato didn't "unlock" them until his parents died. Or maybe Madara genjutsu'd Nagato into not remembering getting Madara's eyes. Either way Nagato didn't know that Madara gave him the eyes.

3. Seems pretty clear at this point that Obito was just carrying out Madara's plan after he died. He knew pretty much everything about Madara (which is why he could pretend to be him), so yeah, Madara probably gave Obito info about the Rinnegan and had him oversee Nagato.
