I don't think it works like that. It prevents sasuke eyes from going bad after use of the sharingan, not form iznami

I don't think Sasuke meant that he was going to kill Naruto when he said "The one who will cut away the past is me". I think that he was referring to the old way on how Konoha was ran. Remember Obito wants to put everyone in that permanent genjutsu so that their is no more wars or conflict. Sasuke has his own way, which we don't know yet, of wanting to have a peaceful state. I think it's Sasuke basically saying "we're going to do this my way"

Nah, he still trying to kill Uzi.This was clearly evidenced by cutting Naruto out of that team 7 pic that was showed.

I'm guessing Sasuke wants to erase the old symbols of the village and recreate things in his own way. Naruto probably represents one of those old symbols, so...

And don't forget what Sai forshadowed a few chapters back. That pretty much let you know Sasuke is going to cause some kind of conflict.
