Don't forget...The 2nd is the one who came up with Edo in the first place. He will probably free himself the same way Madara had. And the fourth will give his son his final gift...But really..I want to see a 1st vs Madara rematch. Lets not act like the Sage of Six Paths won't show up...They showed everyone but him...lol

i dont even remember reading about what happened to the sage...

but idk a rematch between the 1st and madaraa wouldnt be that entertaining to me mostly because none of the other characters would be able to do anything, they wouldn't even be able to watch the fight because them nikkas literally changed the landscape of the country when they threw down the first time

They would probably be on some DBZ about to blow up the planet shyt this time! But since the creator is letting out all of the secrets, the biggest one is the sage. The series is winding up so I expect the Sage to be revealed.

It hasn't been said where the technique originally came from.

But considering the mask was in the old Uzumaki place, and the Uzumaki Clan was known for sealing techniques, I would guess they made it up. Kushina probably taught it to the 4th. That's implied at best though.

If so then...

Why would he do that when his crib is in the village he got resurrected in? If it were possible, he's more likely to flying thunder god to his little hideout than anything else.

Thats what I figured, the Uzumakis made a death technique since their "cousins" the Senjus made the Reincarnation technique.

I'm pretty sure he would have freed himself the first time, but he couldn't because Oro took full control over him when he put the tags in him.
Remember the only reason Madara escape Edo Tensei was because Kabuto allowed him to be free.
