I heard the same thing, expressed by others, about Judge Ketanji's nomination/confirmation/appointment.
The comments seem YTer driven, and don't add up otherwise.
Leader of House Democrats is a key leadership position in one branch of the Federal govt. Supreme Court Justice is the TOP level of another branch of the Federal govt. In what world are these "visuals"?

I don't fukk with Jefferies at all. Say what you will about Pelosi but she was immensely talented at her job and did it well for decades. I don't see Jefferies lasting. Someone will rise and take out the leadership without Nancy there.
He is not the third person in line, since the Democrats have lost the house.
I assume he will be the democrat's house speaker for many years to come as Pelosi was, so eventually whenever the democrats win the house again ... he will be 3rd in line.
