It had a good run until season 5 when all the drama started...

In 1996, Tisha Campbell filed a lawsuit against her co-star Martin Lawrence and the show's producers for sexual harassment and verbal and physical assaults, and therefore does not appear in most of the season five episodes.[2] HBO Studios eventually settled the case with Campbell so that the show's last season could be completed.[3] Campbell did return to the Martin set to film the two-part season finale under the condition that she would not appear in any scenes with Lawrence.

it ended because him and gina couldn't get along. But it has atleast 2-3 more seasons left.

martin ending in season 5 is like MJ retiring in 93 and never coming back
At least him and Will Smith hooked up for Bad Boys. Also he gave us A Thin Line Between Love And Hate, Life, Blue Streak and Nothing To Loose. I think It was time for Martin to do more movies anyway. And let's not forget Big Mommas House doing well.

He can do both. Will was filming movies while doing the fresh prince of belair and those shows essentially ran the same amount of time.

Yes and both shows ended 1996-1997 when Bad Boys blew up and turned them into big movie stars. At that point Will Smith was doing Independence Day and Men In Black and Martin was getting his own roles. You're saying that they could have done the show and been movie stars at the same time. You're reaching. Neither of them shows were going past 1997 no matter what happened since both Martin and Will were no longer just TV stars, but now movie stars with tons of roles coming in. No one in their right mind would keep doing a show when you're getting millions off of movies. You can't do both.
