Kurupt in 1996 before DR imploded...dude was one of the best in the game at the time, and hadn't yet gotten lazy w/ the flow & pen.

Don't get me wrong, Dillinger and Young Gotti, and Streetz a Mutha are dope af, but they aren't 92-96 level Kurupt

This

Even had biggie in awe

Kurupt from 92 to 96 was diabolical

It definitely did for Xzibit.
Hm i think xzibit never reached the highs or lows of Em who my post was about so the fall off wasnt as drastic as Ems

Take tes > encore
Relapse > recovery
Or mmlp2 > revival

I think xzibit could still put out dope music today, his verse on compton Was good

DMX (RIP), had he passed in 98, we'd be talking about the biggest what if's in hip hop history

Ice Cube and Ice T too.

I don't think any rapper could have compared to Ice Cube if he had died in his prime. He would have died before Pac and people would have automatically put Cube above him without a debate and rightfully so.

If Kanye died during that hospitalization in 2016.

People are saying MBDTF but WTT, Cruel Summer, Yeezus, and TLOP were heavily impactful in the culture. WTT sparked one of the best hip hop tours and it showed that Kanye could hold his own with elite rappers like Jay despite not being one himself. Cruel Summer had Mercy, Clique, and I Don't Like Remix which were also huge. Yeezus was/is his most experimental project that made people outside hip hop respect him. And TLOP was his last album that felt truly ambitious and resonated with the masses.

Kanye also was pretty popular in 2016 too. If he died in that hospital after that stage meltdown before the MAGA shyt, his legacy will be super immortalized and praised.

If Pun died around 04/05-06 during the Fat Joe/Scott Storch era…

He would have ruled the Reggaeton market with Daddy Yankee and NORE. Crazy enough that he paved the way for Pitbull as well.

Imagine Pun on Lean Back and Gasolina.

:blessed: :ohlawd:

Fat Joe wouldn’t have had to make a another album.

50 wouldn’t have tried Fat Joe if Pun was still around either.
