A lot of people saw this as a gimmick to get viewers, but I thought it was like another element of survival. You're back out to nature, and it really is a big deal. One problem was foot protection. Infection from cuts on jagged rocks and even plants could be harmful to survival. On one episode, dude got sunburned to hell. He was lucky the chick knew about herbs and could weave some hats for them. Not to mention it can get cold, especially when it rains. This was like an ultimate survivor show where you pretty much got to bring like 3 small items and they were in the elements with the animals.
