Why of all the QB's in the history of QB's that have started strong with a rookie year and regressed in year 2, do you pick Cam to be the comparison to what you think will without a doubt happen to RGIII?

I can't think of two more opposite QB's as far as the type of pass offenses they ran in college and their experiences in college in general.

RGIII was a 4 year starter. Cam was a one year starter.
RGIII Baylor offense was way more pass friendly and downfield looking than Cam's Auburn offense which was almost exclusively sideline passes to WR's and occasional downfield thrwos to the one big TE they had.

RGIII is a level headed guy who led by example and performance in college and is now doing the same in the pros. He has the respect of his teammates because of his intelligence, the way he prepares and his knowledge of how to handle setbacks and when things don't go right. Cam has always just led by performance only and is(currently) a prima donna who can't handle failure and has team mates questioning him.

I honestly can't think of two more dissimilar QB's and people and am constantly in bemusement that Cam had become the #1 comparable that guys who don't like RGIII go to.

to be fair rg3 doesn't have a lot of time to go through reads with that oline, the oline is garbage, Shannahan knows it and designed an offense accordingly. You think rg3 is dangerous now, wait until all the pieces are in play.

But the one thing they both an do is run. Only Kapernik comes to mind when I think "other QB" besides Cam
The racial component here is "running nikka" for comparisons. But is there a white QB outside of Tebow who is known to run if he needed to?
Maybe Aaron Rodgers at times, but Cam would be a better comparison in terms of running
If you remove the racial blinders, then he would be closer to Rodgers tho
