All I see is poor Mega and big bad Nas. nikkas really think Mega did NOTHING wrong? It just makes zero sense. The nikka practically FORCED AZ to be on Illmatic. Basically held his hand thru his first solo. And just gonna shyt on his childhood friend for no reason?

Don't play AZ like that, yes he gave A his chance, but he ain't hold AZ hand through shiit, A had his own team, he was already under Deo(Heavy and Pete's manager)before he got with Nas.

Yes, it's not a Black and white issue, but ask yourself this, why is it that throughout that situation, did Mega and AZ remain cool.

what I mean by held his hand. is feature on multiple tracks on his album. Singles. Nas damn near made sure AZ made it. I'm not saying he did everything for him. He did a lot for him tho. And AZ himself would tell u this. As far as Mega and AZ. That's irrelevant and has nothing to do with anything. Mega and Nas have damn near an identical beef lists. They both beefed with the same people for the most part. All of the shyt I said about the situation. Mega damn near confirmed out his own mouth. He confirmed he was hardheaded. He said it didn't make sense business wise for Steve Stoute to give him a great deal cause he held no leverage. He said he understood why Nas listened to Stoute cause Stoute changed Nas' life. He felt he should've gotten a better deal just cause Nas was his homeboy. He felt Nas should've abandoned his situation just cause they was friends. Even tho he acknowledged that it made zero sense overall. It literally took him years to understand some shyt that was completely obvious from the outside lookin in. He admitted he was extremely mad at Nas for those reasons and when he sat back and understood the situation. He eased up. But Nas is the bad guy? Mega had no fault?

what you are not getting is nobody is blaming nas for the deal... most people put that on stoute anyway

the problem is mega said no... i'm not signing that deal...

then nas and stoute go on a mission to lie to and shyt on the man?? that's what your homie does??

how about "ok i'm sorry you don't want to sign, we going to take this in another direction, best wishes to you"

instead your "friend" lies and tells you shyt is cancelled when it isn't... puts another man in your place, in your group, that you started, without so much as a phone call... calls up other rappers to tell them not to fukk with you.... and has his manager call up other labels to tell them not to fukk with you

what type of shyt is that?? if the deal was normal, why you acting like that when he don't sign it... why you tell him "if you don't sign this, the industry will never fukk with you again"

that's some extortion type shyt.. i don't expect my friends to extort me when i don't want to sign a deal... just let me go in peace, and call it a day

It's obvious most of you brehs talking about where cormega lived was some sort of luxurious place are not from queens.

Kew Gardens is not an expensive place to Iive and judges/lawyers might live around there because its close to central bookings not because its such an awesome place that only a few can afford. Chinx got murked around there too its a suburban looking neighborhood.

Unless cormega lived in a LUXURY BUILDING him having a doorman is normal in Nyc, even Lefrak City where Nore is from has a doorman nowadays

Anyone that thinks Lakey could put pressure on Mega doesn't know Mega, like literally at all. His rep is bigger than Lake's from people I've talked to. I don't know where people be getting their info from. Mega the only rapper I've ever heard Maino cosign on some street shyt. he don't even cosign Uncle Murda lol.

IDK...almost every QB person I've noticed paints Lake as a gangsta/goon of the highest order:patrice:

Mike Delorean

MusicalFury – You got involved with Lakey the Kidd on the 848 mixtape when Lake got together with Suge Knight for Death Row East. How did that come about and did you plan on releasing an 848 album or was that more or less just to showcase the talent of the individuals?

Mike Delorean Lake dropped the 41st side album and then got locked up. I was on three songs on that album. All the people they got on there was really just scared of Lakey, they really just did it out of fear like let me do a free verse for this gangster. The reason I got involved was that one day he was in the hood and had a tour bus with nobody on it. He asked me if I wanted to go on tour and I was like hell yea. After Lake beat his case nobody really wanted to help him. I helped him because he was asking if we could record the 848 mixtape at my crib. We did a few songs and did a video that he put me in it, you know what I mean? I was a producer on that shyt too, that is how that all came about. It was a good experience but wasn’t something I wanted to be tied down to. Nobody like Suge Knight so I am glad I didn’t get too involved with that. That 848 is Lake’s shyt but that is my nikka though.

Mike Delorean Interview

jungle said mega was corny until he started riding with lake
when lake came home
, he either scared or guilted cormega into doing a album with him
either or so, it was obvious mega didnt wanna do it
lake was definitely above him

" First there's this arrogant fukk, his name's Cory
Hung around my man's Lakey and Big Trevor
Trevor's still locked up, Lake's gettin' his cheddar
Corey changed his name to ahh, whatever
Cornchip, Buckwheat look-a-like, it's Mega "

Q: So what's your relationship with all the Queens cats such as Cormega, Nature?

A: [Jungle] We are not feelin Mega. Mega was corny until he started hanging with my man Lakey. That's when people started looking at him differently "If you mess with Mega you have a beef with Lakey." So Mega started thinking people were scared of him. Mega is obsessed with my brother (Nas) but he doesn't want to see us. And Nature, we stomped him out in front of the chicken spot for saying that stuff about Will's mom. I used to manage Nature when I was seventeen I got him his first record deal. I brought him to Steve Stoute and the Trackmasters.

[Wiz] Nature was nothing but a fill in for Cormega.

[Jungle] Yeah when Cormega started going crazy I was like I got something for his ass. I'm going to make this cat Nature hot. Nobody knew who Nature was until I brought him out and he never respected me for that. I also took Nore away from Tragedy. I got him out of that head lock deal, and got him some real beats and some real money.

Teenage Delorean "Yo Mega knocked that n!gga out, yo"

Mike Delorean in this interview from last year seems to have a slight beef with mega over that "fukk nas and nature" track. That track is part of the reason Nas didn't rock with him lol

Nas came to our session after he was at Baby Sham’s to come and see us. I think Nas was a little jealous that Prodigy signed some guys from the hood and could potentially make good money off of our deal. So, Nas ended up getting a session right next door to ours and he was with his friends the Bravehearts. This is when Nas started acting a little drunk and things got a little out of hand so I ended up choking him a little bit. The next day he then called me to see if I wanted to do a song, just to feel it out to see if there was any beef, you know what I mean? He realized that there wasn’t really any beef after what happened and then we ended up not even doing the song. It wasn’t until Jungle came back to the hood that he and I got mad tight with each other. When I went to the Illmatic concert they sat me right next to Nas’ pops. I kind of regret that diss track I did with Cormega though because I was so young. I wanted to ask Cormega why did you have this young nikka make beef with someone and then you go and make peace with him? That put me in a bad spot because Nas was really influential in the music business and I could have burned a bridge right there. Luckily today Nas and Jungle are both my nikkas.

They say that because they're cooler with Lakey the Kid than they are with Mega. I'm talking about niiggas that don't have a bias always told me more about Mega. That could also be because I know more Brooklyn and Far Rock niiggas and Mega is heavy in both places. but regardless the point is Mega can't be extorted or punked into doing anything.

If you listen to Tragedy's song off Marley Marl's Volume 1 back in 1989 at the end he's shouting out all the gangsters from QB nikkas from the Supreme team and what not and he says "Shoutout the Cormega posse". Son was that dude.
