Why are you attributing her attitude to her being a Black woman? It very well could be attributed to the fact that she wasn't raised properly or that she is miserable because she works at a gas station and her employers did not train her properly in customer service....I went to a gas station this morning before work.
And I walked inside to buy a gatoraid.
The clerk, who was Black and female, was not behind the counter.
She was doing something in one of aisles.
She saw me walk in.
She saw me grab a gatorade.
She saw me waiting at the register.......patiently waiting for her to come do her job.
We made eye contact.
She rolled her eyes.
I chuckled.
She made her way to the register.
No good morning. Just an ugly scowl on her face.
Me: "Good morning."
Her: "That'll be $1.65."
But, no. I don't believe in that bad attitude myth at all.
