Saw this in TLR, seemed like an interesting test :manny:

I got
Introvert 11%
iNtuitive 62%
Feeling 12%
Judging 1%

Does it have any validity at all though? :pachaha: Apparently it's very widely used

I was INTP when tested in a fairly official setting. It has some merits. FWIW it was a psychologist that did this with me before with an interview and a more extensive version of the meyers briggs.

Ill take this test and see if it comes out the same way. :russ: @ "Tina Frey"

I got ENTP this time. Not surprised..Ive opened up a bit more since the last time around. Everything was 64/36 except I got 100% N though lol.

ENTP has a gully list:

  • Socrates although it says 2 say N, 1 say S with him
  • Da Vinci
  • Franklin
  • Feynman
  • Machiavelli
  • David Hume
  • Bertrand Russell
  • John Stuart Mill
  • Barry
  • Kissinger :scust:
  • Chairman Mao :scust:
  • Ahmadinejad :scust:
For celebs: Stewart, Colbert, Maher, Downey Jr, Salma Hayek

Inventive, clever, and enthusiastic, you are always on the lookout for new possibilities and problems to stimulate and challenge your inner world of ideas. You are curious in regard to everything that is new and you seldom feel at ease with the status quo. You have a great need for intellectual novelty, and from time to time you may even challenge people or organizations just to squeeze some new idea out of them. You tend to have a love of discussions and verbal sparring, and in a discussion you may follow an argument to its most extreme conclusion. In such cases you may even be suspected of being provocative for the sake of it. When a truly new idea manages to take hold of your imagination, you are quick to see how that idea could be turned into a project in the real world. You have a great enthusiasm for such projects. The problem is that you have such a vivid imagination that you may sometimes start more projects than it is humanly possible to finish.

  • Versatile pattern-seekers
  • Strongly linked to the Antisocial personality
  • Somewhat linked to the Dependent and Hypomaniac personalities
  • Jung called all ENPs "female" personalities, though ENTPs are in fact more common among men than among women

So while this has many criticisms, it is used in numerous fields and workplaces so lets just assume it's somewhat accurate generally :manny:

Also this appears to be a new version of the test on another site that was updated at some point in the last few months: http://www.16personalities.com/free-personality-test
It now has a scale with six options from agree to disagree instead of the old one with just two

The "more official" one I took before that a larger scale from "strongly disagree to strongly agree" like multiple surveys have. Thats really a much better way to go about it IMO.

Yeah it's like the political compass test that has been posted, the wide scale of possible answers made it much more accurate than the simple yes/no ones

http://www.myersbriggs.org/my-mbti-personality-type/my-mbti-results/how-frequent-is-my-type.htm

According to the table nearly 75% are S over N yet from what I've seen the majority on the Internet, and from the TLR thread are N :russ: and not surprisingly there is a much higher proportion of I over E compared to the general population

Either it true that they tested out that way or everyone wants to be an Intellectual/Visionary (as labeled by the chart). I guess I'd rather be lumped into that too lol.

That'd actually be a cool study to do and write a research paper on it and submit it to a Psych journal...comparing message board posters vs those not on the internet as much or those who just use social media. :manny:

'S's' & 'E's' are running around, outside, doing all sorts of things because they thrive on attention and external stimulation.

'I's' & 'N's' prefer peace, quiet and solitude.

Of course there'd be more on the Internet.
