Good for you breh. Educate that child on his people's history, the schools won't do that, not even the private ones. Make sure he's/she's adept at math and science at an early age too, even if you have to get a tutor. Get he/she involved in sports early too so they can learn from it, and see if they have a talent for it. Also be active in your child's life, talk to them and let them know they can discuss anything with you.
Alot of kids end up being screwed up/not living up to their potential because they didn't have that last attention to detail from their parents, but not you breh, not this child.
