Good luck trying to use cash to pay your mortgage:russ: How they gonna process your payment with no electricity. If the banks dont work for you, then it wont work for them either.
People got all their money in the bank talking about “Good luck with your crypto and no electricity” like atms run on hamster wheels and banks verify your account withdrawals with just solar powered calculators and the honor system. :mjlol:

you realize intranets are still vulnerable to attacks right?

I do especially to physical attacks. I forgot to mention a week later that an idiot contractor, recently tasked with working on a system, actually plugged his porn ridden personal laptop in and fukked our whole facility up lmao. The system shut down to reserve itself then IT cut us off from the other facilities and it was fixed within a day.

breh man you typed all of this to say you have the cams on a separate vlan. Are you sure you know what you’re doing?

lmao we aren’t IT so HELL nah we don’t know much outside of basic stuff. We just run the production and babysit the processes. IT does come help us with awareness every now and then.

I’m actually a CIO & CTO at an actual bank and I’ll say I’ve heard nothing from are legitimate threat intel whether FSISAC, Infragard or direct correspondence with active FBI cyber agents. They literally mass e-mail threats to bank security personnel :yeshrug: Not saying it isn’t true but we are heavily audited by OCC/FDIC for security programs, incident response and recovery time objectives. Nearly EVERY institution has gas fed generators or other fail over systems in place for BCP. We don’t have a choice under GLBA.

The problem is, lose power and too many systems that aren’t regulated cease to function. Your money is the least of your worked since we’ve already lent and invested it in other shyt:pachaha: Greatest pyramid scheme ever invented!

What’s your educational background?

Basically years of live IT experience. I’m 42:flabbynsick: and realizing was too broke and impatient for college. Joined the Air Force at 17, worked 6 years in Communications & Phone Switching Systems. My field comes with Top Secret clearance by default.

Transition to casino IT as an operator because entry level is all you’ll get but it got my foot in the door.

From there it has been hard consistent work on my part. I mastered IBM AS400 in and out. Casino went bankrupt and I decided to move on.

Began in the financial bank IT shortly after. Entry level again as an Operator but they exclusively used the I-Series which I mastered prior and outshined the current staff. Was eventually promoted to Information Security Officer.

10 years in I was made the head of my MIS department and promoted to CIO/CTO. Been at my current job now about 13 years. I worked hard for a long time bro, came from utter shyt to make it happen.

I hear on news today Iran does too. The only reason no one is fukking around with other countries is everybody has everybody else hacked. First time a cyber war starts everybody is going down
