My theory of RB's not being dependable and not being top priorities has proven true so far

I was sick of going rb heavy in the first few rounds only to have them nikkas keep getting hurt or under performing their draft positions. I went WR/TE and QB early this year and figured rb was pretty wide open

One league drafted Peterson first :to: and didn't get another rb until round 6 (Ben Tate :to:) ...4-0

2nd league didn't grab a rb until 5th round ....3-1

My WR core went from  to :smh:
Aj green,Randal cobb,Wes Welker, Vjax and Desean

Wes got suspended, Vjax and desean been nothing but :trash:. I also thought Drafting Ray Rice in the last round was the greatest come up :russ::scust:

Same could be said for any position, really.

I went heavy on RB and my running game is what's leading my team (4-0) with Forte & Lynch.

WR's ain't too shabby either (Cobb, Hilton, Hopkins, Tate, Torrey Smith, Boldin).

RB is a top heavy position, which is why you draft them early if you have a top pick. You can typically find good value at WR later.

Actually think the opposite is happening...all of the top heavy backs have been underperforming or suspended.

Elite WR's are at a premium

I'm not coming from the position of hindsight where vision is always 20/20 (injuries, underperformance, and suspensions can happen to any position), I'm talking about general draft philosophy.

If you sort the fantasy points to date in your league the first thing you'll notice is that QB's dominate the list. In one of my leagues 13 of the top 25 are QBs. To me this means QBs are cheap so there's no need to rush to get a QB, you can get value later.

The second most dominant position in the top 25 is WR with 7 spots, then RB with 3 and TE with 2.

To me this means that if you have a top pick, you should be picking a RB (note that one of the RBs is second in fantasy points this seasons, neither of the TEs are top 10), because by time your second pick comes you should still be able to pick up value at WR and QB.

I agree with you on QB's's...just think that that data shows how risky it is taking a back that early when they're more bustable than a Calvin, Dez, Nelson, AJ, Demaryius...backs just dont get the ball enough anymore and are more injury prone...

These RBs aint shyt this year....

One league I started off with AP, McCoy (blockbuster trade after week 1, sent Morris/Stacy), Trent, Rice, and Moreno....

all these nikkas are worthless :snoop:

meanwhile a dude in my league rocking straight bum RB's with Luck, Julio, A. Brown, Jordy, and Graham and dominating.

RB has really become the luck of the draw...

I'm going WR/WR next year...

Knocked off the top nikka in the league this week (4-0) with Asiata and Helu as my only two RB's...

Julio/DT combination looking gawdly...Had 68 points between the both of them in my PPR league...:wow:

that's the nfl trend tho, rb is basically a timeshare position and any elite rb probably is on a team with a major offensive deficiency somewhere else. guy in my league spent his first two picks on peyton and luck and is eating well.

Agreed...im bout to be 9-0 in my league and my starting RBs were Lamar Miller (119th pick) and Bobby Rainey (just picked him up)...I got Rashad Jennings hurt on the bench, Reggie Bush hurt and on bye and just picked up Terrence West too. My WRs have been leading my squad (Golden Tate, TY Hilton, Julio Jones, Anquan Boldin, Jimmy Graham WR/TE)

Made it into playoffs at 12-2 with #1 seed with a current RB roster squad of Bishop Sankey,Darren Sproles, Ben Tate, and Alfred Blue :scust:
But my WR squad includes 3 of the 5 top scoring WR's in the league :blessed:
