Rza & Divine have been sued by multiple Wu members....rappers and producers. Wonder if the lost all cases.

Well uh there it is.

That depends on who is saying it, and when. We will probably never know for sure.

They've all said it..or at least a good amount of them. They all got paid the same amounts on group albums...which is now why they do tiers. They all got close to 1M each for 36 Chambers...but it was on the back end, so they didn't see it for over a year later. But it is reasonable to assume that RZA, Divine, Power & Ghost got more simply from being on the Exec Side. And Rae & Ghost didn't like giving up money so that other dudes could be paid. And they hated that Divine got paid anything. And they hated that dudes (GZA, Dirty) would be absent and still get paid.

Didn't they win the lawsuit?
Ghost did, and to this day I have no clue how. It was for $200K. Uey withdrew 1 of his after admitting it was a publicity stunt...and no clue what happened to the most recent.

Could it be that Ghost was in the right?

If Rae has any gripe, that I can see being justified. I assume none of them knew what the album would become, but they all should have worked to get points on it when they knew it was going to auction.
That whole OATIS situation is fukkery. They should make a family trip to Morocco and give him a Universal Beatdown like the old days:demonic:

Ghost won because unlike any of the other non-Rza members he was an executive producer on some of the first Wu albums, and his own. So he had a claim to more than what was paid out.

Nobody else got anything (I think U and 4th Disciple are the only others who took it to court though).

And Rae said the whole Wu got sued by the artist that made the box for the album cuz he never got paid and Cilva is in a country the artist couldn't sue him in. Rae said all the other members settled, but he didn't.

Why would he split the beats portion to be more beneficial to the group? Just curious

Also in a Family everything split evenly? Just curious

I would agree if we find out he took 50% on beats he aint produce...I could call snake then but the mc and beat % he earned he should keep. Also if it is indeed his company with Divine & Power then the workers should have been understood the splits.
The tiers make since for Rae, Ghost, and Meth by proxy RZA if he produced them shyts his splits should add on a % of what they asking for...leaving pennies to the rest of the clan...

No doubt there are opportunities to snake ya team but getting you solo deals, letting you out ya production deal, stating you can pick the producers you want but you call em and negotiate the costs all seems fair to me...let alone never ever outwardly sling mud and step all on ya shyt after all the lawsuits and public disparaging remarks seems righteous to me.

But as with all thing Everything is Everything.
What about Wu Wear? Rae said each member put in 40k to start the company with promise of returns. He said not a single one has seen a dime, not even the initial 40k.

True Masters got thrown out of court. No idea what's going on with 4th's. I could see Ghost winning because of that. In some of the old threads, I mentioned that may have been a reason he won - going back to the initial splits on the executives. However, I don't see how he won off of artist/producer splits...without them excluding RZA from one or the other on each...which would be crazy. RZA was gonna appeal that decision initially, but let it go. "I know you rapped on this, but since you produced it, fukk your rappin points."

Power started Wu Wear on his own...they didn't put up any money until after it was already a thing, to help get Power a building and such...to make the company look more profitable to outsider investors. Uey said this in his interviews that it was Power's thing, and that you don't touch Power's thing. I posted that interview too. You can look at it as investment when looking back, but you can also look at is as they were never investors, and just being a loan or a favor. If they wanted to be investors, they should've made sure they all got in with the paperwork. The only person that ate off Wu-Wear was Power.
