Ok I should've clarified, the other boy called my son out and instead of them just fighting without gear I had then put on gloves. Head gear is on the way(Amazon) I thought they put mouthpieces in before hand.

Imma be real breh, I see a few flaws. Number one, both them boys need to work on fundamentals. Feet placement when throwing punches. Your son seems to take an extra step forward when throwing the jab. I'm not sure if that because of the mat. He's taller and doesn't need to. He also drops his right after he throws it. I'm not even going to talk about leaving his chin open. He's lucky that the other cat seemed reluctant to throw.
You need to run drills for keeping his hands up and jabbing.

And for safety reasons, please get some headgear and gumshields.

Salute for being active and your son has potential.
