Tucker's a good defender, maybe even a little underrated, but if the Knicks part with Willy or O'Quinn to get him then it's an incredibly short sighted move. I'd give up Thomas for Tucker all day though

Seem like a fair trade to me, Thomas a hard working defender and a glue guy. I'd even throw in Sasha "spark off the bench" Vujacic as a gesture of goodwill

21 million dollars or 7 million a year over the next three if I'm not mistaken. That relief is worth a second. I don't think PHX takes that deal but stranger things have happened and it's the most I'd be willing to give for Tucker.

If Tucker's contract ends this year and we can offload Lance (his performance contract ration is hurting right now, but I'm biased) that's a trade that should be looked at since we could probably buy a pick to replace it.

I don't think teams are gonna come up off of second rounders like that anymore. Considering how easy it'll be for teams to stash players away now that new CBA has kicked in, teams don't necessarily have to sell their picks anymore. Second rounders are pretty valuable now, gm's are hitting on later picks more than ever, and it's gonna be even harder to sign free agents unless you're willing to overpay mid tier guys. So I think it's best to be a little more judicious when it comes to trading away second rounders now.
