They were healthy last night. Consistently negative

It took a monster 35 point game from Melo, 10 missed free throws and an injury to Marvin Williams in the second half for the Knicks to barely squeak by the Hornets by 2 points.

Not even mad about tonight's loss. After the 1st quarter, sh*t could've gotten ugly real quick. Melo & Rose shots were off, and KP missed some good looks late in the game. Obviously their is room for improvement, but I'm liking what I'm seeing as compared to the first few games of the season.

Even the Hornets telecast team were saying that this was not the same Knicks team that people were accustomed to seeing. 8-8, sitting in 7th place. We're on pace for a 41-45 win team, unless we go on a tear later on in the season :yeshrug:

The Hornets were a playoff team last year, that had the Heat on the brink, so what exactly are you trying to say?

Knicks still in process of righting their ship...

14 games ago...we looked skinny in a fist fight.

Today, we could give up 38 in the 1st and still make you work at home.

14 games from now... we'll see what the squad looks like. :shaq:

Exactly. A "healthy" Noah & more cohesion on the team & I like our chances against anyone on any given night

That's what I'm saying. We sitting at .500 after a month with 9 new players in the lineup, and cats overreacting & want to blow sh*t up.

Knicks schedule over the next 5 games is very favorable. OKC, @ MIN, MIN, SAC, @ MIA and none of them are back to backs.

Team came out lethargic and got lit up early, then didn't have enough in the tank to fight back and hold a lead. Melo and Rose both looked cooked; Noah was damn near dead yesterday and probably shoulda sat this one out to begin with; KP HAS to decide if he's gonna hedge hard or stick to his big but he can't do that halfway ish from earlier in the season. Lee was pretty solid tonight tbh, but we relied on him too much when he's not supposed to be that guy in this offense. Much respect to Jennings, Holiday and KOQ who all seemed to really bring it in my eyes.

Rose settling for jumpers was unsettling for my eyes.

Melo has to realize when he doesn't have it and start creating or driving.

Every one of our bigs needs to learn how to protect the rim. They were all late on rotations and reaching for blocks instead of getting to a spot and going straight up. Rim protection was AWFUL tonight though I can live with KOQ's effort over every other guy in this one.

I'm not happy with Hornacek either, shoulda given more rope to the bench and relied less on the starters. He called Melo's number on multiple plays at important points, which just encouraged the poor shooting.

Horny needs to do something about these back to backs. If the team's conditioning is that bad, he should go the Pop route and bench a starter or two for rest. If they're not happy about that, tell them to come out in the next back to back with a proper effort instead of complaining about it. If he doesn't wanna do that because it risks basically forfeiting a game, then at the least he needs to bench multiple players on short leashes next time out. He let that lead balloon up by sticking to his normal rotations besides benching KP of all people. That looks even worse when you consider the effort he got from BJ the second that dude hit the court. If BJ sparks the team a bit earlier, they're not climbing out of a bottomless pit.
