I see Melo as a player with flaws that get exaggerated to the point of being cartoonish. Couple a bad reputation with the fact that a lot of basketball fans have turned on the old school "scorer" (Iverson is underappreciated in a lot of circles these days) and even when Melo does everything efficiently, a lot of people are gonna pin a loss on him. The good thing about Melo is that he seems to have built up enough mental strength to ignore a lot of the white noise and focus on doing his thing. I think dude will be back to a reliable 3-5 assists on most nights real soon and the three point shooting is bound to improve, which will turn a pretty good start into a a really strong looking season. My big complaint so far for him has been how defensive consistency; he was better than this last year but right now he's falling to average at best levels.

I appreciate the hell out of the suggestion fam. I started toying with Wordpress to get a feel for it and prepped a brand idea that should make it possible to blog not just on the Knicks but some other ish I like to analyze. I'm gonna sit down and really look at Medium, try to get something up and running. You cats have definitely given me some confidence to press forward with a legit blog and start archiving this ish at the least. I'd be content getting views from the Coli-Fam and Realgm heads I kick it with, any growth beyond that would be bonus.

That's what I see. He's an old school scorer, and a tradition SF...in the realm of Nique, Doc, a lil bit Big Dog since he was the last scoring 3...in that he's the scorer so he scores. A lot of fans want the Lebron-type of do-everything or the nothing-special type player so they do a bit of everything. Let him do him, watch him play the 2-man with KP and let the others find their way around that. We STILL need a bench and for Justin to get his mins back up

Shump let me down
He let us all down, but I feel the injuries really destroyed his chances of taking it to the next level the acl and then shoulder back to back was too much probably. I doubt he ever would've been a superstar but he definitely could've been something more than he turned out to be.

They think Smart is gonna hold Melo? Arms too short to box with the God. (Noah with hella assists since his man will likely double off)

Well Crowder is injured so either Smart sticks Melo or a rookie who's still wet behind the ears

With that said, Celtics have been by far the worst team in the league over the past week and a half so if the Knicks don't blow us out that will say a lot about y'all :francis:
