The Knicks let up and got themselves in a foul trouble hole that they couldn't dig themselves out of.

. KP was brilliant offensively and good defensively but he still has to learn how to hedge when his man sets the screen. He was consumed with keeping Gobert off the glass and that meant wide open midrange looks and drives for Hill and Hayward in the second half.

. D-Rose is using drive and kick offense to thrive, that's really all I'd ask for from dude but I do wish he could draw more whistles on those dribble drives.

. Lance Thomas still frustrates me with low IQ plays at the worst moments.

. Melo's defense was wildly inconsistent. The Jazz really let him run wild though with a lot of pure isolation and he dominated. Where his game was absolutely aching was on three point shots, no matter how open. Six missed three's for Melo really hurts.

. The bench unit needs a starter in there with them at all times.

. Kuz being willing to shoot and able to finish multiple ways makes him really intriguing but he let his man get completely by him or pump fake him off too much.

. This felt promising to me tbh. The foul trouble KILLED them, but they had flashes of good defensive activity and the offense looks like it's beginning to hit a stride. There's visible improvement in their movement and passing the past two games.

That's the chemistry that the Jazz have that caused that. The Knicks weren't bad defensively, the Jazz were just always a step ahead. Particularly because the game slowed to a crawl after all those fouls. Yeah, it sucks to give up that huge lead but until Hornacek figures out a way to rest our starters without putting a trash lineup on the court off the bench, we're gonna a lose games like this to teams with a long standing core

Very true. I'm just waiting for the chemistry to get better, but it has been looking better & better so far.

i just gave this guy horn credit for having either melo rose and kp on the court at all times and then he starts the 4th with neither of them
jazz go on a run and we never recover:why:

how d is pathetic

knicks stay fukkin up my sundays
How many minutes do you want these nikkas to play. Melo was clearly getting gassed in the third, Rose has an injury history and KP was in foul trouble. Idk what u think he shouldve done there

last game he had kp out there to start the 4th
rose and melo on the bench
it worked.
every single time we put that line up out there, bad shyt happens

he put rose and kp in 2 minutes after when the run was over, it was too late.

manage their minutes better during the game

Sometimes the game dictates the minutes.... Think about it, KP was in foul trouble the first three quarters, and you can't predict when Melo is gonna lose gas anymore. The only thing he probably could have done is start the fourth with Rose and pull him to end the game and put Jennings in........but considering how well he played that second half that probably would have ended in a loss as well. No, sometimes losses like this are gonna happen.

That's why we need this bench unit to improve. Jennings HAS to be a bigger threat offensively. Lance has to either get back to form or stay off the court. Every starter had a net positive in the +/- today save for KP who was neither positive nor negative. Every bench player was a negative. Justin Holiday was -10...Lance Thomas was -9. A glaring statistic outside of the free throw differential
