One thing yall should know with Rose is that ppl always say "he back!" like Magic Johnson at a dunk contest but Rose never lost his elite speed relative to the other point guards. He doesn't jump 5 feet in the air no more but he was crossin up Curry and Irving back in '14 and he's crossin up Conley, Jimmy & co in '16.

His biggest obstacle up until this season is that he hasn't been able to string together consecutive explosive games without an onset of knee soreness and hamstring tightness setting in, which would cause him to scale back his aggression and coast for the next bundle of games (i.e. just bring the ball up, pass off and drift around.. or jack up 3s). It pretty much was his self-preservation mode.

The fact that he's played a handful of games, including a back-to-back iirc and heavy minutes yesterday without a change in aggression or a peep about his knees... is a great sign . Like that's actually a big deal, esp if he's no less aggressive in whenever yall's next game is, after last night.

Matinee games are usually ugly and we're up against a defensive minded, slow paced team. I hate these sorts of match-ups but hopefully the last home game left these guys bitter and fired up. Hayward is back for the first time, so I'd run early isolations with Melo right at the dude and test his tank. Rodney Hood is a player to watch; he's been really good but he's got a new wing to share touches with so I'd really like Lee to get up in his jersey and try to break his rhythm early. The bench needs to give some production this time around, I'd unleash Kuz and keep Ndour as a back-up plan (assuming Lance is still out).
