I think the Mavs wanted to swap picks with the Wolves to grab Frank before the Knicks do. Mavs take Frank, assumption has been it's Smith or Frank for the Knicks, Wolves get a little something extra and still get their target. Knicks leaking interest in Lauri would be to make the Wolves think twice in this scenario. Pure speculation here though, just tryna read the tea leaves on why all these random rumors popped off in 24 hours flat (the Mavs discussing a Rubio offer would tie in too).

How much better can he get?

Well, he increased his efficiency almost across the board last year, while also increasing his minutes and shot attempts. He also provided elite defensive numbers at the rim last year.

So when you consider that he's already improving, and he's already got top-level skills... it is kind of hard to project how could he can get.

But it is not hard to project him getting better.

Generally, I have found that it is easier to make good arguments when you actually know what the fukk you're talking about. Maybe hit up google before dropping trash posts.

But that's just me.
