Doncic in his last game destroyed Chase Budinger,Shane Larkin,Rodrigue Beaubois.
Like abused them

Got you fam :jawalrus:

Luka De Breezy was styling on them so bad they flagrant 2'd him. Then he went and got the last rebound needed to win the game.

This team coulda been Towns and Fultz/Ball/Jackson, and instead it's gonna be KP and Monk, and people are still not going to understand why it's devastating to win meaningless games.

:francis:

and then they get mad when we call their lack of patience out:hhh:

FYI we're likely going to be bad next year too.:ld:

Willy's play this season has been a real big highlight for the Knicks this season. In a way, that Robin Lopez trade was a blessing in disguise, since Willy probably wouldn't have gotten pt over Lopez and O'Quinn. I really think he can be the starting C for the Knicks in the future, since he compliments KP's game so well.I guess the big question is though; can KP at the 4 and Willy at the 5 work defensively? I still think KP can work at the 4 spot, he's just too athletic and long for me to think he can't defend stretch 4's full time, and he did it well enough last year. Also Willy seems like a sharp guy, and I don't think he's as slow footed as previously advertised, which makes me think he can be a decent defender if the FO is patient enough to wait and develop him over the next few years.

Please don't say that fam, anybody but Monk:sadcam:

Do yall think the Celtics (if they end up getting the 1st pick) bite on Melo and our first pick for their pick resulting in us getting Fultz? Boston could end up in the ECF enticing Melo to go to a winner on the east coast and keep his fam CLOSE TO NY. Next year could be Fultz/Lee/Willy/KP/?. Dont know who our starting 3 would be but thats a 25-30 win club right there with some young talent and good draft position for the 2018 draft considering we still have our picks.

When Philly and Boston are dominating the division and conference for the next decade after Lebrons done maybe they'll get how important high picks are

Tbh it's more about culture and developing your players at a certain point.
Youb can get high draft pick after draft pick but if they aren't put in positions to succeed you waste their youth. Lakers have two top 2 picks that get shytted on their teams still a mess. Same with the Wolves. Triangle and defense is a start for Knicks next year.

We never could of got to top 2 odds for Fultz or Ball. After that it falls off. Jackson isn't in their class imo.

I think they are hoping to trade for Butler or George, If that doesn't work they would then try and see if Hayward would come to Boston in FA. If it became clear those two wont be traded and Hayward is staying in Utah they might try for the Melo then. However, I have a sneaky feeling Melo is going to be traded relatively early in FA (to avoid the media circus) so we would have to see.

It's about talent first. If you have the right players it will eventually come together

Minesotta will be real good eventually. They have a bunch of players who can't even legally drink yet.

and we might actually get calls from the refs
:jbhmm:

fukk around somebody might get a MVP in a tight MVP race
:ehh:

the whole country of nonbasketball fans will be like "I don't know basketball..... but I like the Knicks..... they play the right way"

:jawalrus:

Jokes aside that boy Doncic looks like he could be a star
:hubie:

and the Spurs won championships with a lot of Euro players.

This was fukking hilarious. :mjlol:

I feel bad for chuckling at it. :russ:

I legitimately heard the southern drawl in that quote, too.

Culture >>> Talent

The NBA is all about the best players that's not by accident

Did the Cavs have a "culture" pre Lebron?

What culture did okc have when Westbrook and Durant got there?

Did the Bulls win anything pre Jordan?

Rockets pre Hakeem?

It's about the players

Yes culture helps but the NBA is a players league

I agree.

Yea, @tremonthustler1, I want to cosign your statement because I hold culture in such high regard, but talent appears to overcome culture in most sports situations, it seems. I don't think it overwhelming eclipses culture but culture seems to be window dressing more times than not.
