If they're going to use him strictly as and a pick and pop big, those are the results you're gonna get. 4/5 PNR as the ball handler, pindowns, flares, staggered screens, alley oops, backdoors, etc can be used to create easier baskets for KP. Also shown flashes of being an above passer at his position, but you're not going to be able to see any of that, because we got need more Melo jab steps and Rose struggle floaters.
He's not a traditional back-to-back big man like Hernangomez, but he's going to have to get stronger to take advantage of mismatches he has on smaller guards and wings.
If you want to criticize him for his lack of rebounding, perimeter defense, ineffective post scoring, bad screen setting and 1v1 shot creating, that's fine, but Rose and Anthony are the primary ball handlers in the offense and Porzingis is a big man. He's dependent on other teammates to give him the ball. He has long stretches within the game ESPECIALLY in crunch time where he hardly touches the ball and stands in the corner.Rose and Anthony have a combined 55.6 usage rate and only average 7.3 apg. That's inexcusable.
He has a bad habit of committing silly fouls, but I think he'll get rid of them with more experience and repetition. It doesn't help that he's surrounded by defenders horrible at the point of attack like Rose, Jennings (before he was traded) and Anthony. always having to clean up for their mistakes.
From "Kp holds the ball Iso all the time and no one here complains, I wonder why" to "he's not it good at it lol"

Which one is it???
No fans said anything about a conspiracy. We just want to see him utilized in this offense correctly.
If his progression stagnates within the next couple of years, I'll let you know. Right now he's increased his FG%, 3P% and PPG and providing elite rim protection across the boards despite playing in a toxic environment with two ballhogs and inept front office and coaching staff.
They'll certainly be more creative and thoughtful than the ones Melo stans make.
