In terms of the fanbase and media? I doubt it...it's all on Phil having the patience. The fans and media won't have the patience more than likely, I would look at Stephan A. Smith's rants and rhetoric in relation to Sam Hinkie for a preview of how folks would react. But if Phil can just say fukk it and have patience I'm all for it.

All the NYC media that I've seen/heard/read, they have been saying how the franchise needs to build through the draft and look like there's a plan in place, which hasn't been the case for a long time. If there's something that looks like a plan, I think the TRUE fan will be on board.

Yeah, I'm not gonna get into true fan/Melo stan, I'm just looking at what is prevalent within the fanbase. You can look at this thread, the 2016 offseason thread, and probably interactions with Knick fans offline that there is not much tolerance for another 25-35 win season. Unfortunately, that is what needs to happen. There is a prevalent hostility towards building through the draft and taking chances on youth.
