I remember I heard Spitta on the New No Limit stuff that Master P was putting out around 03-05.

Then of course the Cash Money times. It was really weird to listen to him try to rap with Lil Wayne (who was a much different Lil Wayne than we know today). I kept hearing the No Limit Spitta, which was weird to me. He'd say funny stuff like "bytches wanna hold me in the mornin like a coffee mug." It cracked me up, but it sounded a little uninspired and like he was over it.

It seemed like he fell off after "Where da Cash At" and out of nowhere he comes back with this reinvented style. I'm sure that the "new" style was really just who he was coming out now that he didn't have to worry about projecting some image to sell records.

He gained that huge following releasing those 6 or so mixtapes, then he released This Ain't No Mixtape and I really, really liked that album.

Of course I was checking for Pilot Talk and it didn't disappoint at all. So laid back, so Spitta.

I went back and heard Pilot Talk, which intro'd me to Wiz.

Around that time KRIT and DZA were coming up too.

(That was a really good time for rap, particularly lifestyle/stoner rap too)

Then I was all over PT2 when it came out, some other mixtapes at the time too. Then he intro'd Trademark and the rest of JETLIFE.

After that Jetlife tape/album whatever it was, I found it harder to keep up with Spitta. I don't think that it was because I lost interest or anything, I think it was just hard to keep track of all the shyt coming out.

I need someone to post some playlists and stuff of the piff that I've missed these past few years. I still listen to old Spitta all the time, I just lost track.

Stoned Immaculate grew on me. Its now Top 5 of year. Its just good music. Hes lucky he got to make an album like this with big name producers, lots of samples, and aside from the Estelle joint (which aint bad) it sounds like regular Spitta

both audio dopes are classics as well
Curren - Audio Dope - Smokee Robinson - YouTube
"Audio dope, and we can make crack like this
Practice? We talkin' 'bout practice?
For what? I can do it in my sleep
Homeboy, I ain't been on my bed since '93"
eea211ad.gif

Curren - Pilot Talk - Audio Dope II - YouTube
"I got 'em running scared tryna catch up
57 Heinz, Gregory the dance legend"
"Right back at it
Light the pilot, get the pot
We can get it cracking in here
Audio Dope:
We track traffickin'
And theyre asking for more. Is you back again?
And I ain't talking bout practice no more
When it's game time, show me to the stove
Audio dope:

Yeah nikka, we track traffickin'
They askin for more. Is you back again?"

Spitta Andretti...yea... :lawd:

To me he went backward on Stoned Immaculate.

There's nothing memorabl, except some of the production, unlike CC and the PT series.

That's what he's been saying. DIdn't have to fit the cookie mole image... now he just raps about what he did the day before

that album didn't really do it for me either. '...burnies' before it and 'cigarette boats' after both got much more play. but all his projects r quality. u can't really go wrong. pilot talk 2 is his best imo...so much game/wisdom in his rhymes man, i swear. sh!t should be required listening for a young black male.

He's not as good as he used to be

But he's an inspirational rapper if you have seen the whole journey from his first mixtapes or even PT1 to now and seen how he built this then you gotta love this dude no homo.

I still go back and listen to select songs from all his old stuff, most of his mixtapes are good and bad but theres always 3-5 outstanding songs which are timeless

I can listen to power button on repeat and not get bored, I can listen to jets at ya neck on repeat, mandatory, selfish, zigzag, molotov cocktails, real estates 1, real estates 2.

He has enough hypnotic flows to keep a listener occupied and happy.

Currensy is best when he's doing a project with mainly one producer, ski beatz, monsta beatz, i wanna what him and mike will cooked up. The Stoned Immacululate was nice but a bit boring too many tracks. covert coup 2 was still coming right? and sadly jet world 2nd cd smh:shaq2:
