Don't crack and pay that much. I paid $600 for the first iPhone and got buyers remorse almost immediately.
BTW, if you get a locked Lumia 920 I read on XDA that AT&T will not unlock it for 6 months. So it might have to be straight talk if you go that route at the start...decent speeds with my AT&T Nitro and no problems so far.
I tried to buy one off AT&T's site for $449, but of course they won't sell it to you without a plan, I fukking hate these companies man. I guess I could go to Best Buy and try to buy one there.
I might just get one for 440-500 and wait to unlock it, these strong arming tactics are just pitiful.

I can deal with $500, since the Galaxy is around that price, and the Nexus 16gb isn't really that far off.
I'm reading a Windows phone forum, people are using the 920 with straight talk
$45 a month and they even got MMS working with it
Also, they're saying you can get the phone for $449 from Bestbuy since they will price match.

I was thinking of doing AT&T's "Month to Month" plan and canceling after the first month, the phone is $489
I have to read up on if there are any fees though, I'm sure there are
