For those that care to know the short version.............:ohlawd:

For those that want the detailed version:

This phone is nothing short of sensational. I've had the phone for about 2 days now and I must say this device is easily the best I've ever owned. I wont go into all the details of the device but here are the highlights:

Screen
Must be seen to be believed. The touch screen is extremely responsive, high res, and beautiful to look at. It even feels silky smooth to touch. And because it has Gorilla Glass 2 there is absolutely no need for a screen protector as the thing is literally scratch proof!

Sound
People made a lot of hoopla over the beats audio on the HTC devices, but the nokia devices have Dolby Digital Audio codecs as well as a fully functional equalizer that makes music sound AMAZING! You really appreciate how much better the sound quality is from the device when you use high quality headphones, especially when listening to Xbox music! You can fully customize the equalizer as well so you really have full control over how your music sounds.

Video
Device supports all popular video codecs out the box (including mkv, avi, mpg4, and others) so you can literally drag and drop video files right onto your device is seconds. Plus with 32 gigs, you can fit ALOT of porn on this bad boy. Cherokee has never looked so good on a mobile device before! :steviej:

Design
Much ado has been made over the supposed "heftiness" of this device and its by far the dumbest criticism of a phone I have heard in a while. This device just oozes "premium quality". The fit and finish of the device is top notch, the material (polycarbonate) is strong and durable, and the texture of the matte is divine when held. The ergonomics of this phone is outstanding. It rests in the hand so naturally. Furthermore, the color varieties are top notch especially the cyan version.

Camera
Again, this thing is nothing short of phenomenal. In daylight the photos are a bit soft but still fantastic. At night this phone is literally unbelievable. The OIS feature enables you to get great photos in very poor lighting situations. IT really needs to be experienced to be believed! My wife iphone 5 admittedly takes slightly better daytime pictures, but overall I rate the camera on the 920 higher simply due to its phenomenal nighttime capabilities. Anyone that doesn't at least check out this camera is truly doing themselves a disservice.

In a nutshell this phone is fantastic. I've only had it for two days but have been immensely satisfied with my purchase thus far. Furthermore, Windows Phone 8 has really fixed a lot of the issues I had with Windows 7.5 and I couldn't be happier for those. Overall this camera is a great buy and IMHO the best smartphone camera for the windows ecosystem, and possibly across all systems.

nokia phones always have really good camera's, and supposed the nokia maps are also the truth (not sure if that phone has nokia maps)

App store is great. Its obviously still lacking in quantity but its functionality is awesome. M$ gives you the option of buying apps directly on the phone, via the internet (ala Android), or via your main pc (ala iTunes). It really works well and of course the UI is fantastic.

And Nokia Maps is by far the best GPS service for mobile devices out there. The fact you can DOWNLOAD MAPS FROM ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD FREE for offline usage really is the killer feature here. Furthermore, the UI on the mapping service is slick, displaying the speed your traveling, the posted speed limit, as well as turn by turn directions by the (VOICE ACTOR OF YOUR CHOICE). The power of Nokia Drive easily rivals those of the standalone GPS options of back in the day. And lastly, the maps are in 3D! :ahh:

:dead: @ The disclaimer....

This is BY FAR the smoothest phone I've ever used before. Even compared to iPhone 5 and GS3/Note II. No doubt about it.

Phone Pros:
-Love the size of the phone. I'm of the opinion that smaller/lighter is not always better. I have large hands and I don't mind the weight. It really feels like a premium piece of technology. It's not much heavier than the GS3 but you can feel the difference. I understand the benefits of plastic phones (like most of Samsung's offerings) but the thought that went into this design is :ahh:

-Display is on point. Can't say enough things about it. Colors pop and it's easy to see in direct sunlight. Not a videophile but I can say it looks as good, if not better than everything that I saw in the store.

-Sound is lovely. I think BeatsAudio/Dolby are gimmicks for the most part. This is the loudest phone I've ever had. Very clear and crisp quality

- Camera is amazing. Nothing else to say. I can see the softer tones, but it's more true to real life than exaggerated cell phone colors.

Cons:

- Battery is good, not great. Pretty much what I'd expect from a phone with this display. Doesn't blow me away, but I've only had it a few days. Can easily go from 7am to bedtime with my moderate use though.

OS Pros:
- This is how an OS should be done. It screams "use me". The design is nothing short of breathtaking and I don't even like Windows 8 (the desktop OS). Everything is simple, intuitive and fresh. As I read on another forum, this is a smartphone OS that is centered around the user rather than an OS that can replace your computer.

-It's nowhere near as customizable as Android or even IOS, but I appreciate the fact that it gives me enough to where I can spend a minute or 2 flipping my colors (light/dark with a tile color scheme) or moving and resizing my tiles and keep it moving. It's not enough for someone who loves touching every part of their desktop, but it's not too little for someone like me who is tired of spending a while downloading launchers and apps to make the screen look a little different. Me and my girl's phones look totally different and it only takes 1 or 2 settings

- The People hub integration is amazing. I don't use Facebook that much but the way it's integrated makes me want to post. I've seen these type of features on IOS and Android, but neither are done as well as this. I don't know how to put it, but it feels personalized rather than just customized.

- Small intuitive things like song controls in the volume settings is different but really nice.

- I never thought I'd say it, but IE 10 on the phone is dope. It's a little simple in places, but as far as rendering and overall speed, it's great. It's not like my default Android browser where the first thing I do is try to find a replacement.

- Nokia Drive (920 exclusive :takedat:) is great. I can't say if it's better than Google Maps yet, but it's a more than worthy replacement. REAL offline maps has been needed on cell phones for YEARS. The pseudo shyt Google did (download segments of a town) was a letdown. This actually lets you get the maps for full countries and download them all at once. I also like the interface of the actual map. It has the minimalist interface with a speed indicator (as well as the speed limit of the area you're in). Feels like a real GPS rather than in internet/cell service plugin.

- Full Office Suite on deck is :krs:

OS Cons:

- Hopefully they get their app game up soon. Not a major problem for me cause cause I didn't use but 4-5 anyway and not many that I use are missing (except Tapatalk :sadcam:). I could see someone that uses 100 apps on their phone (Android or IOS) having the :wtf: face with some of the ones missing.

- Sometimes simple is too simple. Brightness comes to mind. There's High, Medium, Low and Automatic. No customized sliders irks me.

- Try before you buy with paid apps is a much needed feature. Glad to see someone get it right.

Transition From Android:
-Coming from GSDG (still my nikkas :smugbiden:) it takes some getting used to. I had to realize that I don't have to be in device administrator mode to use my phone.

- No real notification bar is a gift and a curse sometimes. I love that the OS "gets out of the way" until I have a question so I get my full real estate at all times. I still feel the need to swipe my notification window sometimes though

- This is NOT an alternate computer. No file managers, rooting, etc. necessary. Had to take a step back, but it makes me realize that most of that stuff isn't needed if you just want to call, text, browse the coli and twitter/facebook (i.e. what 99% of regular users do anyway). I can do every normal smartphone function.

- After so many years, I'm not used to going without Google services. Will still use Google Voice, but I dove in head first and switched my main e-mail account to Outlook.com to see how it performs.

@Hiphoplives4eva where did you order your phone from? If AT&T, call customer service and ask for a price match to Wal-Mart. I got a promise for a future credit (couldn't apply it until I get a first bill). After it's all said and done, I'll have 2 920s, 2 charging pads for only $100 :myman:

Friend of mines copped this and it's pretty nice. If this Nexus 4 doesn't work out I'd actually think about copping to integrate with Win 8 but it's like $800 off contract :whoa:

It's $449 off contract for sure (was in the store Sunday and today), but not sure if it's unlocked.
Damn, this phone would have been dope for when I start traveling again next year. Hopefully the Nexus 4 can hold me down then.

Either way, it's not a loss... Nexus 4 looks like the dopest option for Android right now.

Not true att no contract price is $450. That is how much I paid for mine. World unlocked phones (that also work on Tmobile 4G) is like 750 on eBay. Negri electronics sells them for 720. I honestly have mild regrets not getting that phone as I really don't want to revert to my unlocked gnexus when going overseas...:scusthov:
