Appreciate ur honestyBecause there are 3.7m videos uploaded to YouTube every day, you have no following, and no budget for marketing or promotion other than trying to engage/bait people on a dying forum into watching the video and bumping your own thread by replying.
And before you ask, yes I watched/listened to the 2nd video.
What did I think of it? Eh, it was just like every other modern day dust/boom bap rap - I have no idea what you were talking about but I'm sure it all made sense and was good. It didn't make want to hear more, and if you had a mixtape or project I'd maybe play it once and never go back to it unless enough songs made me stop and run them back.
The video itself meant nothing other than having clips and being by what looks like a castle. I'm sure that ties into the lyrics, but I wasn't engaged because I don't know you and I don't know why I should invest the mental energy to try and decipher what you were trying to get across.
What can you do to improve your chances of getting bigger? Nothing other than getting connections and collaborating with bigger artists than you are artists of your level who have actual motion. Only .5% of people blow up simply by being good and being discovered. Most people blow up because they put in legwork, connect, are constantly out and about being seen, and moving forward that way.
Is being good at rap or better than any other nygga you think you can outrap? Absolutely not. If that was the case, only good music would be popular and bad or mediocre artists wouldn't exist.
It might help you feel better thinking you're better than Elcamino or Rome Streetz or whatever, but until you put in the work they've put it, then it doesn't matter.
Good luck though.
Thisrap is dead breh
