It's just time to clean house. Starting with Howie Roseman and Andy Reid. I'm certain that the next head coach was in the MNF booth last night watching that debacle. We got to play Foles for the rest of the season. If we still had a chance of doing anything, I'd say put Vick back in when he's well, but now, nah. Got to see what we're working with as far as Foles goes; might have a franchise QB on our hands or we might to think about who's coming out in the draft. Hopefully our next head coach will realize that we have a top 5 running back in Shady McCoy and utilize him to help take the pressure off of whoever the QB is next season. We need our o-line to stay healthy. Our next defensive coordinator can go back to the Jim Johnson schemes we ran(i.e., blitzing the hell out of the opposing QB and more man coverage) when our defense scared teams shytless. Might need to cut bait with Nnamdi(that nikka's been in the witness protection program ever since he got to Philly). I don't know. It's going to be a long offseason for us either way. :to:

all you guys talking about rebuilding need to realize something. this is PHILADELPHIA. they dont have patience for a rebuilding project. you are risking a lot here. if you rebuild, there's gonna be a lot of empty seats. im not sure if you want to lose all that money.

Looks like they are already cleaning out. Looks like Babin got cut.

The defense wasn't that bad at the beginning. I would start with the offense. They need to really work on getting some more talent on the o-line. All the injuries screwed us because there was no talent behind them. I'm not down on Maclin yet but I would prefer that they try and trade him for some talent.

….so with that said (and while fully realizing that some of the following isn’t so easily doable), here’s my Ten-Point Plan for Fixing the Eagles:

  • Fire Andy Reid, His Entire Coaching Staff AND Howie Roseman - I don’t give a shyt that Roseman just reupped….if Banner got the axe, but Roseman is the one doing the drafting, then Roseman’s gotta be fired, too….this is one of the worst drafting front offices in the league right now, they need a COMPLETE change of focus and hierarchy when it comes to the draft, don’t let ANYBODY who is CURRENTLY involved in the draft process EVER be involved in it again. So if you’re NOT going to fire Roseman, then at the very least take draft duties away from that fool.

  • Hire Chuckie – actually, I’m not mad at Gruden, Cowher or Billick (Cowher will want too much control, though)…regardless, hire a new BIG NAME coach AND hire a new GM AND bring in a respected football mind as a consultant, like Bill Polian

  • Change Philosophy on Offense – you would THINK this would be automatic with a new coach, but just to be sure, the new coach needs to understand we will have no more of that stupid West Coast Offense. Again, the new approach needs to be modeled after what Pittsburgh does….go for smash-mouth football with passing plays that stretch the field, ball control using the running game, and exploit defenses with your offensive explosiveness when warranted. That all entails, yunno, actually having a coach who understands the concept of “in-game adjustments” instead of just stubbornly sticking to a bullshyt plan that doesn’t work. :stopitslime: Also, make the scheme fit your fukking talent, not the other way around like a stubborn fakkit. Vick IS NOT a drop back passer, he’s just NOT. He never has been. But you can WIN with him if you tailor the offense to suit his skillset. It’s not like Vick can’t throw the long ball….he just can’t drop back 40-50 times per game, that’s not his M.O. As a coach, you have to play to your team’s strengths, and running a precision passing offense is NOT Vick’s strength (you see what happened when Shanahan tailored his offense to suit RG3, right? Suddenly he’s got a ROY candidate behind center).

  • Keep Vick As Your Starting QB Next Season – I’m glad Steve Young said this last night and I agree wholeheartedly. Why? First of all, because there’s no other QBs in free agency this offseason worth pursuing. Secondly, like I said before, if you change the damn offense and PROTECT him, maybe Vick will survive a season longer and be more productive. I’m not about to believe Vick doesn’t still have the talent to win in this league, especially when Brady Quinn and Chad fukking Henne are still starters, get the fukk outta here, nikka. Simply PLAY TO HIS STRENGTHS and you at the very least create better opportunities for your offensive skill players.

  • Draft O-Linemen High and/or Pick Up a Top-Flight OL FA This Offseason – and none of that “smaller and more mobile” shyt, we need the cornfed ma’fukkas if we’re gonna change our philosophy, I want the Eagles to have the biggest fukking O-Line in the league in terms of girth and weight…..they’re going to have a high first-round draft pick this year, so spend it wisely on a franchise OL. Granted, we’ve got some QUALITY linemen returning from injury next year, but it wouldn’t hurt to bolster this unit 100% given what happened THIS year with the lack of depth.

  • Change Philosophy on Defense – this should actually go without saying, since that Wide Nine shyt is CLEARLY asstacular, but still….first and foremost, put a premium on TACKLING and GAP DISCIPLINE. Hopefully the coach will drill this home during Spring drills, I want DISCIPLINE on defense, no more arm tackles, no more bullshyt ass matador style wrapping up….we need somebody to teach these boys how to play SMARTER. We also need to put a greater premium on linebacker play.

  • Gut the Entire Secondary – get rid of everybody except maybe Nate Allen (and even HE is suspect)…Cromartie is trash and so is Nnamdi, Kurt Coleman is a joke and the rest of those clowns need pink slips, fukk EVERYBODY in that entire defensive unit, I don’t give a motherfukk…..

  • Draft another CB and some LBs – easier said than done, I know, especially when you’re talking “impact players”, but hey…OTHER teams are finding these diamonds in the rough, how come WE can’t? Again, that goes back to the people in charge of the Eagles draft. GET THEM THE fukk OUTTA THERE so we can make some quality picks from now on. We need another CB, a safety and some LBs. In fact, I’d spend our entire draft this year on defensive picks except for the first pick, which I’d use to get an O-Lineman.

  • Keep the Entire D-Line – this is the only strength of the team currently, keep the entire rotation

  • Shop Wisely in FA – here is a list of the players who will be free agents in 2013 at positions where we need the most help:
    • OL: Jake Long (MIA), Ryan Clady (DEN), Branden Albert (KC), Sebastian Vollmer (NE), Brandon Moore (NYJ), Andy Levitre (BUF), Andre Smith (CIN), Sam Baker (ATL)
    • LB: Brian Urlacher (CHI), Shaun Phillips (SD), Anthony Spencer (DAL), Connor Barwin (HOU), Daryl Smith (JAC), Rey Maualuga (CIN)
    • CB: Brent Grimes (ATL), Tracy Porter (DEN), Sean Smith (MIA), Quentin Jammer (SD), Derek Cox (JAC)
    • Safeties: William Moore (ATL), Dashon Goldson (SF), LaRon Landry (WAS), Jairus Byrd (BUF), Louis Delmas (DET)

GO GET SOME OF THESE nikkaS like you went and got punk ass Nnamdi. Let’s not act like Lurie doesn’t have the chips to make it crack.

Thoughts/comments?

Agree with most of it except

- I don't want Gruden. He won with Dungy's players and didn't do much else afterwards. Give me Chip Kelly, David Shaw, or even Sean Payton.

- I'd still keep Boykin and Cromartie. Allen can stay too. The rest can go.

I don’t think there’s any way the Saints let Peyton get away from them….in fact, I don’t even think he WANTS to go anyplace else. They’re totally going to work that out, IMO.

I also DO NOT want a college coach, fam. No fukking way. This is still a team full of veterans, I want a coach they can respect and IMMEDIATELY get disciplined under, not be on some “this nikka was just coaching fools my son’s age :stopitslime: “ type shyt, yunno?

I was thinking like this too until I see Harbaugh and Schiano doing well in San Fran and Tampa. Tampa was just like us last season (completely quit on their coach), and now they might be headed to the playoffs.

I see that the team is starting to clean house. They cut Babin; for what reason I don't know. It wasn't like the defensive line was the problem on defense. Other than Ryans and Kendricks, our LBs suck ass and the secondary is suspect. Our defensive scheme as a whole is shytty. We went from Jim Johnson's schemes to God knows what. Scrap that wide 9 bullshyt ASAP. I see my fellow Eagles brethren are saying to keep Michael Vick. I would; on the condition that our new head coach isn't following the Andy Reid blueprint of throw the ball every down even when the running game is doing its thing. If we're doing a total rebuild, then as much I'd hate to do it, I'd see what we could get for Michael Vick. If we're just reloading and doing some slight retooling, then yeah, keep Michael Vick because he's not washed up. Just design the offense to play to his strengths; you know, what any head coach with common sense would have done by now.

I really want to keep Vick, he'll be fine if we get an O line. We need to run the rock about 45 times a game, no exaggeration. That will open play action deep balls to djax just like they do in Houston. And we need a safety and a corner or 2 on D and we will be set we just need to fukking blitz more and create pressure on the qb, and the secondary will be fine.

As far as coaches go if we can't get Brian Billick then I want Vic Fangio.
