I think we can all agree that this team needs to be gutted….from the coaching staff to the personnel to the front office, get rid of EVERY fukking body and start this shyt over. IMO, and as much as some may not want to admit it, if the Eagles want to right the ship they’re going to have to model themselves after the OTHER Pennsylvania team that has several titles under their belt already….

….so with that said (and while fully realizing that some of the following isn’t so easily doable), here’s my Ten-Point Plan for Fixing the Eagles:

  • Fire Andy Reid, His Entire Coaching Staff AND Howie Roseman - I don’t give a shyt that Roseman just reupped….if Banner got the axe, but Roseman is the one doing the drafting, then Roseman’s gotta be fired, too….this is one of the worst drafting front offices in the league right now, they need a COMPLETE change of focus and hierarchy when it comes to the draft, don’t let ANYBODY who is CURRENTLY involved in the draft process EVER be involved in it again. So if you’re NOT going to fire Roseman, then at the very least take draft duties away from that fool.

  • Hire Chuckie – actually, I’m not mad at Gruden, Cowher or Billick (Cowher will want too much control, though)…regardless, hire a new BIG NAME coach AND hire a new GM AND bring in a respected football mind as a consultant, like Bill Polian

  • Change Philosophy on Offense – you would THINK this would be automatic with a new coach, but just to be sure, the new coach needs to understand we will have no more of that stupid West Coast Offense. Again, the new approach needs to be modeled after what Pittsburgh does….go for smash-mouth football with passing plays that stretch the field, ball control using the running game, and exploit defenses with your offensive explosiveness when warranted. That all entails, yunno, actually having a coach who understands the concept of “in-game adjustments” instead of just stubbornly sticking to a bullshyt plan that doesn’t work. :stopitslime: Also, make the scheme fit your fukking talent, not the other way around like a stubborn fakkit. Vick IS NOT a drop back passer, he’s just NOT. He never has been. But you can WIN with him if you tailor the offense to suit his skillset. It’s not like Vick can’t throw the long ball….he just can’t drop back 40-50 times per game, that’s not his M.O. As a coach, you have to play to your team’s strengths, and running a precision passing offense is NOT Vick’s strength (you see what happened when Shanahan tailored his offense to suit RG3, right? Suddenly he’s got a ROY candidate behind center).

  • Keep Vick As Your Starting QB Next Season – I’m glad Steve Young said this last night and I agree wholeheartedly. Why? First of all, because there’s no other QBs in free agency this offseason worth pursuing. Secondly, like I said before, if you change the damn offense and PROTECT him, maybe Vick will survive a season longer and be more productive. I’m not about to believe Vick doesn’t still have the talent to win in this league, especially when Brady Quinn and Chad fukking Henne are still starters, get the fukk outta here, nikka. Simply PLAY TO HIS STRENGTHS and you at the very least create better opportunities for your offensive skill players.

  • Draft O-Linemen High and/or Pick Up a Top-Flight OL FA This Offseason – and none of that “smaller and more mobile” shyt, we need the cornfed ma’fukkas if we’re gonna change our philosophy, I want the Eagles to have the biggest fukking O-Line in the league in terms of girth and weight…..they’re going to have a high first-round draft pick this year, so spend it wisely on a franchise OL. Granted, we’ve got some QUALITY linemen returning from injury next year, but it wouldn’t hurt to bolster this unit 100% given what happened THIS year with the lack of depth.

  • Change Philosophy on Defense – this should actually go without saying, since that Wide Nine shyt is CLEARLY asstacular, but still….first and foremost, put a premium on TACKLING and GAP DISCIPLINE. Hopefully the coach will drill this home during Spring drills, I want DISCIPLINE on defense, no more arm tackles, no more bullshyt ass matador style wrapping up….we need somebody to teach these boys how to play SMARTER. We also need to put a greater premium on linebacker play.

  • Gut the Entire Secondary – get rid of everybody except maybe Nate Allen (and even HE is suspect)…Cromartie is trash and so is Nnamdi, Kurt Coleman is a joke and the rest of those clowns need pink slips, fukk EVERYBODY in that entire defensive unit, I don’t give a motherfukk…..

  • Draft another CB and some LBs – easier said than done, I know, especially when you’re talking “impact players”, but hey…OTHER teams are finding these diamonds in the rough, how come WE can’t? Again, that goes back to the people in charge of the Eagles draft. GET THEM THE fukk OUTTA THERE so we can make some quality picks from now on. We need another CB, a safety and some LBs. In fact, I’d spend our entire draft this year on defensive picks except for the first pick, which I’d use to get an O-Lineman.

  • Keep the Entire D-Line – this is the only strength of the team currently, keep the entire rotation

  • Shop Wisely in FA – here is a list of the players who will be free agents in 2013 at positions where we need the most help:
    • OL: Jake Long (MIA), Ryan Clady (DEN), Branden Albert (KC), Sebastian Vollmer (NE), Brandon Moore (NYJ), Andy Levitre (BUF), Andre Smith (CIN), Sam Baker (ATL)
    • LB: Brian Urlacher (CHI), Shaun Phillips (SD), Anthony Spencer (DAL), Connor Barwin (HOU), Daryl Smith (JAC), Rey Maualuga (CIN)
    • CB: Brent Grimes (ATL), Tracy Porter (DEN), Sean Smith (MIA), Quentin Jammer (SD), Derek Cox (JAC)
    • Safeties: William Moore (ATL), Dashon Goldson (SF), LaRon Landry (WAS), Jairus Byrd (BUF), Louis Delmas (DET)

GO GET SOME OF THESE nikkaS like you went and got punk ass Nnamdi. Let’s not act like Lurie doesn’t have the chips to make it crack.

Dude is what he is hes gonna be 33 next year and has always been inconcisstent and is now breaking down from all those hits yet yall still treat his ass with kid gloves

Whats the obsesion with dude?

Just rebuild, youll get high picks and maybe gett he frnachise qb of your future in the next few years

Youre not contrending next year even with Vick, him getting you 7 or 8 wins isnt gonna help you long term

Great plan :whew:

You really think Jake Long is leaving Miami though? They got a great core there so i dont think so. All they needa do is draft Robert Woods this year and they might be a force next year.

As far as the front 7 goes, lets not act like bowles didnt come through and fukk it all up. Juan Castillo had the defense balling outside a couple Nnamdi fukk ups. It was exactly when we fired Castillo that we went from possible playoff team to top 5 draft pick. Oddly enough Bowles was the d-Back coach and the secondary still got worse. Keep the whole front 7 and maybe draft a OLB to couple with Ryans and Kendricks. Cox, Cole, Babin and jenkins i'm sure can suffice if used well so I agree with that too. Kurt coleman can either be a great player or the absolute worst at times so he's out. Allen can stay. Boykin can perhaps get some test runs (I say start now :manny: and revert Nnamdi to that Slot coverage again).

Also we need to get rid of Maclin who isnt bad but doesnt fit the direction I'd like to see the team go. We need to rid of him and see if we can rape another team for a great receiver ala Brandon Marshall via trade. Lesean McCoy should stay even though he's a finesse back. Celek is that nikka and so is Desean. OL line...REfukkINGVAMPED. Clay is good in my books and Avant is a great reliable slot receiver.

Thanks for the replies, guys.

Okay well, I’ll wait while you name THREE – no, not even that many…name TWO – QBs who the Eagles could target next year to replace Vick.

(*cue Jeopardy music*)

It’s not that Eagles fans have a “fatal attraction” with him, it’s that there’s really no other options at this point. So if you don’t have any other options, your only OTHER option is to change offensive schemes to fit Vick’s strengths. You gon’ tell me Nick Foles is a better option at this point than Vick?

Youre not contrending next year even with Vick, him getting you 7 or 8 wins isnt gonna help you long term

I don’t believe that. Too much talent on this team and the rest of the NFC is pretty weak.

Besides….ain’t that what Niners fans said FOREVER about Alex Smith until Harbaugh came along and (again) tailored his offense to suit Alex Smith’s skillset? I’m not about to believe the same thing can’t happen with Vick, especially if you give him a better line.

what you think about special teams? the only one that's earned his keep is henery..personally the rest can go

Yessir, I agree….gut that unit, too. MAYBE keep the punter, along with Henery, but definitely target a return guy and get some ATHLETES late in the draft to supplement your special teams unit, particularly dudes who can fukkING TACKLE. :rudy:

team needs to stop being a finesse squad and try and get smash mouth.

YES, YES, A THOUSAND fukkING TIMES YES!

They need a COACH who reflects this mindset.

Teams are a reflection of their COACH. When all is said and done, a team's attitude - the way they play, their PRIDE - and DISCIPLINE are all tied to their head coach.

We don't have ANY of the foregoing because of the COACH and his bullshyt philosophy.

We need to get back to smash mouth football, run the rock and play lights out defense. fukk this finesse shyt.

You really think Jake Long is leaving Miami though?

Nah, fam…..but then again, I never thought Nnamdi would come here, either….so I don’t think it hurts to at least TRY. Yunno? shyt what WE got to lose at this point?

But no, I think a lot of the top-notch FAs will likely resign with their teams (e.g., Jake Long and Branden Albert), I just hope we at least TRY to go get them, be competitive in the FA market.

Also we need to get rid of Maclin who isnt bad but doesnt fit the direction I'd like to see the team go...

I can agree with that. Get something for Maclin before the rest of the league sees that he’s not worth the value, e.g., Kevin Kolb.

is nnamdi completely done or can he save his career by moving to safety?? what about rodgers- cromartie?

As Nnamdi seems ALLERGIC to tackling, playing safety is not his strength, IMO.

Next year will be the third year of his 5-year, $60 million deal (of which $25M is guaranteed). I’m not sure what we can do with him, but we need to TRY to move that nikka. Because it doesn’t make sense to be paying him that much money after DEMOTING him to the bench.

Cromartie needs to be CUT. All that nikka can do is run fast in a straight line, he never turns his fukkin’ head to find the ball and is ALWAYS out of position otherwise. fukk that nikka.

Couldnt agree more with this

you can just tell with reid's son dying, his mind and soul is somewhere else.

by position needs

QB: Keep Vick, Continue to developed Foles

RB: Use lesean properly, Brown looked solid last night. Use Havili more in
short yardage situations

WR: We need a tall WR, Riley Cooper aint cutting it

TE: Celek is fine and harbor is a solid back upO

Oline: Our Biggest need, we need to draft/ sign some motherfukkers

Dline: im actually content with our core, but Graham has to step it up

LBS:If we can find a FA find is anthony spencer etc. not a glaring need but we could improve of what we got

CB: our 2nd biggest need (secondary) cut namhamdi. Resign DCR, try to sign either Tracey porter or Jammer or draft high

FS/SS : move allen back to FS, find a new hard hittin SS

We should have surrounded my dude Nnamdi with some veteran safeties. Kurt Coleman is Roy Williams lite, except he cant tackle for shyt. Nate Allen is just a body. Our safeties suck.

As far as Offense, get rid of Maclin Asap. Dude is fragile and not worth a starting role on this team. Avant has been a soldier, but dude is not worth a roster spot either.
Totally remake the O-line AGAIN, except maybe Herremans. Peters who knows how he will rehab his injury.
