I understand your frustrations OP. If I had a kid who played ball I’d encourage him to sign anywhere but Ole Miss.

They waved confederate flags in the stands & had a plantation owner as a mascot roaming the sidelines for decades till they realized “these symbols are keeping us from signing the best black players”. That’s why they’ve been ass since integration.

They have to pay top players to go there, they can’t even do that right. They’re about to get hammered for benefits to recruits.

What’s funny is Mississippi State was the first SEC school to ever have a black head coach in Sylvester Croom in the early-mid 2000s. Miss State is way more forward thinking than Ole Miss, & MSU is full of Mississippi natives. Ole Miss is full of cacs from all over the country who are in love with old southern heritage & symbolism

i know a lot of people from the north who went to sec schools and its a red flag usually when theyre white

It's pretty fukking sad how the Coast is the most modern/diverse and tourist friendly part of Mississippi. It would be a nice place to have a University/ D1 football team.

The only Uni they got down there is a fukking satellite Southern Miss and the gigantic Community College system.

I used to say the same shyt. I enjoyed my time on the coast. I don’t know why a major university isn’t in Biloxi or Gulfport; instead of that fake university in Long Beach.

My little cousin was the #1 recruit and signed with Ole Miss. He liked it. I didnt like it as much but they really upgraded things due to signing him and their development is way better than it used to be

it'd be most advisable to go to the most prestigious school w/ the most connections in case football doesn't work out. period.

a lot of these athletes are seen by programs are cattle, so it's on the athlete and his support system to maximize his opportunities outside of football as much as possible. if he's an elite talent, he'll be noticed practically anywhere.

an SEC school is going to be less likely to encourage an athlete to be seriously concerned about academics than say, Stanford or UMich

D-ville turning into to shopping epicenter of all Biloxi, Gulfport, and Ocean springs. Food on point. Casino clubs popping. Great Vietnamese culture and food. Soul food joints are nice. The casino money even got the public schools looking nice.

It would be hell of a place to live if you have a nice career.
