you share that $700
On August 5th my school issued me a check for the amount of $700 that I then deposited into my savings..
The $$ has been sitting in the savings account since August. Two days ago I go online to pay my bills and I see $700 completely gone from he savings account.
After calling customer service I end up talking to someone at the bank where I put the $$, they tell me that basically "there was an error in processing" and that I need to get the check re-issued. On thursday the bytch teller re-credited me the $700. Then a day later called and said the manager is pulling it back out of my account again.
Short of me waiting in the parking lot for the staff to get off work Idk what to do
Here's the thing brehI've been a manager at banks and credit unions. When there is an error on the banking end, it is our responsibility to resolve it. Did they give you anything more specific than to say it was a processing error?
One time we had a guy deposit like 5 checks for the same exact amount. When the deposit was processed at our operations center, one of the checks was missing. I was notified, and told to tell the customer. We could ask him to have the issuer send him another check, but it wasn't something we could force him to do. In the end, we had to credit his account for the missing amount.
So in your case, if they can give you provisional credit in the meantime, you can get another check issued when the school's offices open in January.
