Write a letter to the Office of the President of TCF. Then contact the Chamber of Commerce for your local principality, and the Better Business Bureau.

Call the president of the bank or speak with the assistant, tell them its urgent and explain what happened...be persistent and professional on the call. The follow thru with a letter.

Don't wait in a parking lot, the bank made a mistake and now there is incentive for the bank to keep customer and be consistent with delivery of banking services.

On August 5th my school issued me a check for the amount of $700 that I then deposited into my savings..

The $$ has been sitting in the savings account since August. Two days ago I go online to pay my bills and I see $700 completely gone from he savings account.

After calling customer service I end up talking to someone at the bank where I put the $$, they tell me that basically "there was an error in processing" and that I need to get the check re-issued. On thursday the bytch teller re-credited me the $700. Then a day later called and said the manager is pulling it back out of my account again.

Short of me waiting in the parking lot for the staff to get off work Idk what to do

I've been a manager at banks and credit unions. When there is an error on the banking end, it is our responsibility to resolve it. Did they give you anything more specific than to say it was a processing error?
One time we had a guy deposit like 5 checks for the same exact amount. When the deposit was processed at our operations center, one of the checks was missing. I was notified, and told to tell the customer. We could ask him to have the issuer send him another check, but it wasn't something we could force him to do. In the end, we had to credit his account for the missing amount.
So in your case, if they can give you provisional credit in the meantime, you can get another check issued when the school's offices open in January.

TCF bank has gotten low ratings in the Chicago area:

TCF Bank - Jefferson Park - Chicago, IL

TCF Bank - The Loop - Chicago, IL

I'm guessing you went with a small community bank as opposed to a larger bank (i.e.: citi, chase, boa) due to better interest rates. Just find a more reputable local bank.

Call your local news stations and let them know...

Real talk? This would get your shyt back with the quickness.

Businesses don't want that bad pub, especially around the holidays.

And your local station who does investigative type work would LOVE to get their hands on a story like this. Just make sure you have proof. Name drop the teller and others involved. I bet your $700 gets back within a day, if that.

Good luck. And remember, credit unions >>> banksters
