He's better off going back to NJPW or even TNA. WWE will just use him as enhancement talent, he won't get another world title shot, he will just be another body lost in the shuffle without nothing to do. Same thing goes for Shelton if he were to return.

Do you have any idea how well WWE pays their talent? If there's one consistent thing I've seen some guys saw about WWE is that they made a LOT of money working for Vince. Plus working for WWE and being seen by so many people raises their value for when they do go and work for other promotions.

The only guys who seemed to have a problem with sitting around and collecting a huge check were Carlito and Charlie Haas.

Isn't that why MVP left the first time? He didn't like the way he was being utilized? If I remember correctly, it wasn't all about the paycheck for him, otherwise he would have stayed.

He's older now so it might be about the money now :smugdraper: why go to tna make no money and join 8 and aces :sadcam: when you get to be at raw putting on great matches and getting paid

That was only part of the reason. His contract was just coming to an end and he REALLY wanted to work in Japan:

“I guess more than anything it was that my contract was coming to a close,” he tells the Miami Herald. “I had a year left on my contract. John Laurinaitis was coming to me to re-sign like he had a number of times. I had actually been avoiding him because I hadn’t made my decision yet. I was still trying to figure out what I wanted to do. I hadn’t come to terms with my decision. On a professional level it was a culmination of a lot of things. I just wasn’t happy anymore and felt I wasn’t being given the opportunities that I had been given previously. It was time for me to make a decision, and I didn’t want to re-sign. I asked if I could be out of that final year so I could go and pursue my original dream of wrestling in Japan.”

It doesn't have to be a completely new gimmick, but it'd definitely need to be tweaked.

*edit*

Create a stable with MVP and the Prime Time player :whoo:

It all depends on what kinda return he gets...

The Jeff Hardy return where he comes back and is actually treated as a relevant current part of the roster... or the "old school" return where a once-popular midcarder comes back to occasionally win but mostly put everybody new over.

MVP can still be a main eventer, I don't give a fukk.

It was obvious for years that he COULD be, it was just a matter of if they'd let him be.

I'd argue it was the same for Carlito.

Both guys were decent enough workers, good talkers, and work as a face or a heel, had gimmicks that could move merchandise.

WWE just had a habit during that time of not giving guys fair breaks. It's bad now, but not NEARLY as bad as it used to be. Only guy I can think of right now that's getting shytted on like that is Zach Ryder, they did to him what they did to Christian.
