Monica's first CD album was her best. She never matched it again really. Brandy was way more consistent with her music.

So gone will always and forever be one of my fav songs and still get played. But let’s not act like brandy didn’t have an overall better musical career. I also think brandy had more classic/memorable songs than Monica.

Brandy the better artist with the better catalogue overall although I although like Monica’s music as well.
Vocally, Monica has a more traditional tone but Brandy’s voice is strong and more unique especially on a song like Angel in Disguise.

Monica straight shytted on Brandy on that boy is mine, looking back. Brandy was my crush in the 90s so my hearing was tainted.
