If they phase out his music, that would get me to cancel the network. I barely watch the current product at all so no loss to me

Be smart. He made some legendary shyt. I have no idea what this CFO character has even done. If he made Rick Rude..Perfect...Rock..Taker...it's not even a comparison.

30 years does not equate to "wwe fukking dude over". That's a full blown career. I'm sure if he was smart he saw the writing on the wall. Dude had a high contract and they brought in CFO$ in 2012.
Okay, can ya'll name me 5 great themes he has done in the last 10 years?
I noticed nobody replied to this. Why? :mjlol:

Jim provided some classics but shyt passed him up. CFO$ made Asuka theme and Glorious for Roode. People acting like WWE went and got some wack people. Like whole arenas don't be singing Shinsuke's theme made by CFO$. :laff:

So from what I heard on the Prichard podcast, he's actually not even been doing too many themes in recent years, and was mostly doing stuff on the shytty movies we don't care about. So really, we don't even know if he's takin' it as hard as we are. He may well have moved on long before he got released. If that's the case, I doubt the guy's ready to kill himself. They weren't gonna have the same person doin' everybody's themes his whole life... shyt, I miss Howard Finkel, but who's to say he wanna travel state-to-state ring announcing every week like it's still 1991? He's probably cool with movin' it along, it probably wasn't even an unceremonious release.

Overall, the only thing that's really messed up is if WWE intends to replace all his themes on the old footage. shyt, I feel for the person that would have to do that fukkin' job. Hope WWE and JJ did a deal so that shyt can at least be intact. It's tough enough not gettin' to hear the Demolition shyt... imagine if they just tossed all the themes out :damn:

Former WWE Composer Jim Johnston Blasts WWE's Current Entrance Themes

Johnston was recently interviewed by Lucha Libre Online and demolished the current product's music.

"While I told you before this interview that I don't do trash talking, but the closest I'll get to being critical, is that, absolutely, I want to slap Vince upside the head," Johnston said [h/t Sportskeeda] "The music is so bad! These days it's just sound effects and noises and stuff. It doesn't have anything to do with the characters and the storylines anymore. That's the essence of this business... And that's currently lost. I don't get it."

"I hate to say this, but there's a certain satisfaction that the music (in WWE) now is so bad. Because it makes me feel better about what I did contribute. It does make me feel bad for a bunch of the wrestlers, because without good music you can't become a big star. I don't believe it's possible. The music is just like a score in a movie, it's what leads the fans' emotions. It's a very visceral, very deeply emotional connection. That's always what I went for, now that's what's missing."

He's not wrong :yeshrug:

CFO$ are probably 5-47 from the field for good themes. Too many of them sound not only just alike, but safe and watered down as hell.
