Remember Lashley didn’t want his chick in a storyline with Edge he didn’t feel comfortable with his chick in that role probably didn’t trust Edge or want art imitating life.

Plus the company could easily make your life a living hell and put so much stress on your relationship that you have no choice but to break up.
